People complain about overpowered weapons, but it's sometimes just how you deal with them. Here's some things I do to live through people having the good exotics:
Shotguns: Throw a grenade in front of you, shoot as they run up, melee at the last moment. This may still get you killed, but it lets you make sure you get them too.
Fusion rifles: Learn how long charge time usually is. Once you know it's about to fire, either dodge around or hide. Once it goes off, resume shooting.
Snipers: try to run about in as random a way as possible, and try to stay in the air. Once close enough so that the sniper is useless, shoot.
Arbalest: Use a shotgun, or act like it's a normal fusion rifle
Jotunn: You're just screwed. If you notice it charging, run around a corner and fight someone else.
Machine guns: get close range, use melee and run if to far away
Rocket launchers: the farther away, the easier to dodge
Crimson: shoot from far off with a scout rifle
Grenade launchers: avoid tight areas and stay more still, try to kill as quickly as possible and run out of the way if they get too close
Smgs: once far enough away, they're useless, and they can't run up to you without taking a lot of fire.
Randy's throwing knife: toss a grenade at them
Linear fusion rifles: see Arbalest
Bows: worthless at close range, even more so if you keep moving
Telesto: stay in an open area, the explosive rounds then have nothing to stick to
Hope this helped, if you needed it.
Snipers: try to run about in as random a way as possible, and try to stay in the air. Once close enough so that the sniper is useless, shoot.
coming from a sniper main. Absolutely DO NOT jump. You're easier to hit falling, plus you're helpless more often then not.
Jotunn: You're just screwed. If you notice it charging, run around a corner and fight someone else.
it's really not that hard to deal with, just step to the side. Use your cover. If you time it correctly as a hunter, you can completely dodge it.
Rocket launchers: the farther away, the easier to dodge
with truth, you're screwed more often then not. Normal legendary rockets your statement reins true.

arbalest is a sniper ,just like GL is a scout rifle

Editado por sonicBOOM5431: 2/23/2020 4:51:38 PMWhen it comes to shotgun apes, it's very apparent that most of them have no idea how to handle any engagement where their shotgun is ineffective. Put yourself in a position where shotguns dont work, and watch them panic cause they have absolutely no idea how to react. It's hilarious to watch. Then you you let them suffer just a pitiful death by your hand. If they would just learn that they have more than 1 weapon in their arsenal, things would really become way better for them. Just press the swap button when you're in an engagement you cant win with a shotgun, it's really not that hard, but they never learn XD

Good thing that have the players who using fusion rifles are tapping their prefire the entire match

While these tips are great you gotta be careful with bows at close range, because a precision frame bow can body you and follow up with a melee to kill, only thing that can challenge that is a shotty

Certainly some decent tips. A few thoughts of my own: Shotguns: I would add backpedaling to the list of things to do. The longer you can keep them as far away as possible, the more likely you are to survive. Even if it's only with a sliver of health. Snipers: Mobility is definitely your friend, but being in the air against a sniper is extremely risky and is still likely to get you killed. I only do it because I float around with Wings of Sacred Dawn, which gives damage resistance when ADS, and a Blast Furnace pulse rifle. I can usually survive a hit from most snipers, and if I land my shots I can make them at least back off if not kill / trade kills with them. SMGs: Depends a lot on the SMG, but keeping a decent range is definitely your best bet. A well-aimed SMG can still do a lot of damage to you within its effective range though. I was actually able to go head-to-head with a lot of pre-nerf Recluses with my Hero's Burden from Iron Banner. Bows: Only worthless at close range in the hands of someone who panics when being rushed. I often body shot people with my Warlock's Subtle Calamity at close range. Simply because of the power that bow has. Not to mention a precision hit followed by a punch is often enough to kill someone. I've even been able to (surprisingly) challenge a few supers at close to mid range on my Hunter using Le Monarque paired with Oathkeeper (and a lot of careful footwork).

Thanks for being helpful . . . But I find these “dodging OP weapon posts” harder to avoid than a jotunn in the back.

Jotunn behaves like Slova bomb. Running at it actually makes it easier to avoid.

These tips are good and all, BUT, it is never this simple. It is so much more complicated

👍 nice tips

It's better to understand the realities of these situations rather than be in our feelings about them.
