2 and a half years to address something that affects a whole class playing this game.
And over 3 years and counting to actually do something about fixing it.
In the mean time you have fixed lord of wolves as quick as possible, Prometheus Lenz, Titan and Warlocks exotic gauntlets when it was too strong, Wish ender, and a whole lot of other things that were not major issues at all not to mention there have been multiple subclass updates with buffs and nerfs.
At this point there is no excuse. No other conclusion to come to other than the fact that you just don't care about Warlocks as much as you do Hunters and Titans. (Your lack of action in this matter confirms it 100%)

While these all plauged the crucible for a long period of time. shards and panic barrage, wormhusk and radien flux and arcstider, spectral blades and gwisen. Then there's titans and oem and bottom tree striker, Ursa and sentinel. Don't forget infinite skip nade spam! Not once had Warlock ever had a game breaking setup! Ophidan aspects never increased melee range for over a year. Now they do but there's no significant change whatsoever. Blink is still trash since the launch of d2 and now currently as is is bugged to hell. No other jump takes away radar and gives you a handling nerf! Or a severe jump cooldown Burst glide is useless on dawnblade now. You move faster out of super then in super. Rift has the longest cooldown and the longest activation time. While barricades and Dodge are completely inferior! Chaos reach ball lighting takes a century to travel and can be easily avoided as side stepping. Chaos reach still blinds the user and feels as if you're playing golden gun while a super completely suspends you in air with no directional control Pulsewave I see no change in it's effect vs d1 Scatter greandes, stormgrenades,fire bolts, axion bolts all suck Nova warp subclass only has handled super Nova going for it. Nova warp is the only roaming super that requires skill! While bottom tree nova bomb is outdated and severely needs Lance Verity's brow Winters guille Skull or diarrhea Stag Vesper of radius Sanguine alchemy All are a joke

Warlocks have less melee speed but more range. Hunter melee lunge is a joke and has been for a while

Despite the passage of time, we have yet to see any changes regarding our melee. I believe whoever is in charge of the class design over at Bungie must have been slapped by a warlock's palm more times then they want to admit (back in D1 Crucible). I think this whole problem is just karma considering we were melee gods in D1. At this point, I don't think they'll bother fixing it in D2's lifetime. I can only hope the developers improve our melees in D3 ([i]-- if it ever comes out that is[/i]).

Give up. Sadly they don’t give a f-Ck about class balance or true pvp balance. Just make a hunter and be done with it. That way we can just see hunters in crucible with dust rocks and minbenders.

They should fix this, but nerf the hell out of of Hand Held Super Nova... Nothing like a warlock being able to run out from behind a wall with no brain and blow a void load all over your guardian. At least you can counter a titan when they try to shoulder charge you. This thing is an easy win. Whenever 4 void warlocks stack up on the opposing team I already know what kind of game it's going to be.
