My idea is a sort of Destiny fanfiction universe. A collection of stories that all heavily relate to each other. Similar to the Star Wars Expanded Universe. For those of you who don't know: [spoiler]The Star Wars Expanded Universe was a collection of books and comics that all relied upon each other to weave together a central plotline. (Mostly the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.)[/spoiler] Before I continue I have two questions: 1. Is it possible to work on a combined effort like this and sustain it. 2. Is anyone interested in something like this happening. So I know that multiple stories in the forum have references each other's characters in lots of ways but as of yet I'm unaware of any stories written by multiple authors. Also as far as I'm aware characters created by multiple different people have never been featured developing a big plotline. I also would intend for this to contain multiple different story threads that come together at major events and/or storylines. My vision of this is multiple different authors across the forum create storylines at least semi coordinated with each other. I would also hope for pre agreed upon major events to happen and advance characters in ways all authors involved are happy with. Disclaimers: 1. If this does actually get put into motion I will be unable to be a major player. This is due to my highly erratic schedule and underdeveloped writing skills. I would still be interested in participating but not to a major degree. 2. The most prominent authors would have to be able to keep this up, granted with breaks for holidays and whatever else comes up, including breaks in between storylines.
