Bungie stated a fix would be coming and they would be lowering the amount needed to complete it.
also from what i could tell, its not combatant kills its by guardian kills, and it takes two kills to one.

Problem with that is they take way too long And by the time it’s been ‘fixed’ you’ve either run out of time, or wasted time doing everything else to find it never needed doing! Bungie FIX your bloomin game!
