Origin Story

Finally settled on a look for my Warlock, Hunter and Titan after their original looks were destroyed by a combination of the year 2 and later the armor 2.0 changes, and it inspired me to write a little origin story for the three of them.
Sidus Human Dawnblade Warlock. Dabbles in Void and Arc. Favors Lightweight Bows, Pulse Rifles, Submachine Guns and Energy Swords. Iris Awoken Pathfinder Hunter. Sapphire blue skin with orange eyes and hair. Favors Hand Cannons, Compound Bows and Broad Swords. Celeste Awoken Devestator Titan. Pure-white skin with blue eyes and pink hair. Favors Sidearms, Scout Rifles and Rocket Launchers.
Sidus was found in the Cosmodrome by his Ghost. His skeletal remains surrounded by the charred bones of the Fallen he had slain in the moments leading up to his death many centuries ago. A device around his wrist, all but reduced to slag, was carefully removed upon his revival. A single memory engram remaining intact at its core. Aside from his name, the recording it contained revealed that he had originally hailed from Earth before moving to Arcologies on Titan, and had once been a developer of advanced technologies during the Golden Age. While most of the data had been corrupted over the years a few R&D locations remained in the engram. A revelation his Ghost took a keen interest in. However, the noise had drawn unwanted attention, and Sidus quickly found himself standing over the charred remains of a pair of Fallen Dregs that had been scouting the area. "Warlock, and a strong one at that." His Ghost had commented as he picked up a salvaged submachine gun and one of the blades the Dregs had been carrying. The two swiftly taking their leave before more Fallen descended upon them. Weeks pass as the two make their way to the nearest R&D location on the recording's list. While reaching the city remains a priority for his Ghost, the prospect of recovering Golden Age technology to bring with them has the little Light all giddy, and it's not as if they have a ship to fly there anyway. As they neared their destination, however, they came across a crashed space craft. In any other situation they would have simply passed it by as the wreck looked to be months old, if not older. However, what caught their attention was the large number of Fallen swarming over it in a frenzy. Curiosity getting the better of Sidus the pair approached the wreck cautiously to see what could be causing the commotion. The source ended up approaching them instead. A pair of Ghosts revealed that they had stumbled upon the wreck a couple days ago and identified their guardians inside. However, they had been unknowingly pursued by the group of Fallen and didn't get the chance to revive them. Moving from hiding place to hiding place since. Wanting to not only help the Ghosts recover their Guardians, but also realizing he may need help securing the R&D location he was heading for should it be occupied, Sidus told the pair of Ghosts to stay hidden while he moved against the Fallen. A feat that proved to be more challenging than anticipated. The poor quality of armaments he possessed aside, the Fallen had become even more frenzied after he'd made multiple attemts to remove them, and he quickly found himself in much the same situation as the two Ghosts. Darting from cover to cover. His weapon out of ammunition and the energy blade broken and lost somewhere in the chaos. "Your Light is also a weapon, Guardian," his Ghost told him. Earning a frustrated scowl and a reply that little spirals of Solar fire were not going to be enough. "Your Light is so much more than that," was the response. "You've only been tapping the surface of its potential. Let it flow through your very being and give it every thing you've got." His Ghost's words were encouraging, but he would need a little more than words to follow through as he still wasn't quite sure how his Light worked. Sure the feeling that flowed down his arms as he tossed bursts of Solar fire was palpable, but he needed something more tangible to direct his Light through. Something to weild, and a short distance away he saw it. Likely battered and scorched by the crash, a once ornate blade could be seen lying in the dirt. Launching himself at it from cover, Sidus managed to grab the blade as the Fallen closed in. With mere seconds to spare he pushed as much of his Light as he could into it. The sword vaporized instantly. In its place a brand of golden fire now blazed. Its energy flowing around him like rivers of fire, and the intense heat nearly lifting him off the ground. The advancing Fallen hesitated for a moment at the sight, and it was all the opening Sidus needed as he launched himself at them. The sense of power that flowed through him as he rained fire on them not only felt right, but felt familiar. Though he had no idea why. After swiftly dispatching the last of the Fallen he called the pair of Ghosts out of hiding to do their thing and soon found himself face to face with two Awoken women. One, smaller and more athletic of frame, had deep blue skin and fiery orange eyes and hair. The other a bit taller with a more pronounced figure had skin as white as snow, piercing blue eyes and a strikingly pink shade of hair. The two had apparently been sisters in their past life according to the scans made by their new Ghosts. Though Sidus noted that they were just as lost and confused as he had been when he was revived just a few weeks prior. With the Fallen dispatched and the area secured he offered to help them search the area for any clues to who they once were. However, the trio of Ghosts explained that it was very rare for Guardian to find something about their past lives, and scavenging the area merely confirmed that fact. Though without names to even call their own the two Awoken couldn't help but feel dismayed over being cast adrift in an unfamiliar world. Knowing that feeling himself he suggested they travel together so that the three of them wouldn't have to feel quite so alone. They salvaged what they could for weapons from the area so they could defend themselves, and the trio headed towards the R&D location Sidus had been searching for. The other two Ghosts were hesitant at first, wanting to get to their City as quickly as possible. However, they perked up at the mention of recovering Golden Age technology, and even speculated that they might find a ship there as well if they were lucky. The two Awoken took to asking the Ghosts questions about the world they now found themselves in. The orange-haired one asking with an energy her Ghost could scarcely keep up with and gushing over how awesome everything sounded. While her sister was more straightforward and asked more practical questions about what they could expect. Sidus listened on with interest. Both enjoying the company of having traveling companions, and out of curiosity for things his Ghost had yet to tell him. Though the uncomfortable question of who they were was one that could not be avoided for long. While there was nothing that could be done to recover who they once were, he did point out that the two were still quite distinct in their own ways, and put forth the idea that they create their own identities with their new lives. Rather than try to reclaim the identities they'd lost. After all, even though he knew his name and what he once was he didn't really feel a connection to his past self, but rather felt as if he was looking through a window into another life. The two agreed, though hesitantly, which left only the question of what to call themselves. However, with nothing to go off of it was a difficult question to answer. Sidus eventually suggested the name Iris for one of the sisters since her blue skin and orange hair reminded him of some of the flowers he'd seen in the region. Though not quite on board with being named after a flower she rolled with it due to a lack of alternatives. For the other sister he suggested the name Celeste due to the almost ethereal appearance she had. She scoffed a little at the flattery aimed at her and her sister, but would embrace the name in the weeks to come when she discovered the seemingly heavenly fury her Light burned with. Not long after they found their way to the location they had been searching for. Much of the structure had been felled by the passage of time. Though they did discover a few remnants that hadn't been picked away by scavengers. The most significant find, however, was a sub-level that appeared to still be intact. Though attempts to enter had certainly been made over the years. Securing access through a combination of Sidus' biometric data and the hacking skills of a trio of Ghosts the group found themselves in a well-preserved remnant of Golden Age research and development. Much of the data was encrypted of course, and the Ghosts noted that the engrams would need to be taken to the Cryptarchs of the City. However, there were other finds around the laboratory that could be accessed with ease. With as much data gathered as they could manage, and leads obtained for the other facilities Sidus had once overseen in his past life, they resealed the facility to prevent unwanted access and began their journey to the City their ghosts had mentioned. Now emboldened by the cache of Golden Age technology in their possession, and the surviving space craft they had discovered abandoned in the facility. They arrived at the City just as the hammer of the Red War fell upon the world...
