I'm fairly excited about seeing what happens with Saint-14. I have found that Bungie always nails the lore for Destiny (In my humble opinion); which is why I am scared for when we finally meet Saint-14. I say this because our hearts will break, pride will melt, and tears will be shed with one question that Saint-14 will ask.
Saint-14:
"Where is Father?"
For those of you who aren't quite as deep into the lore of Saint-14:
Saint-14's relationship with the Speaker was so close he called the Speaker father, while the Speaker called Saint his son.
I just hope we can muster the strength to tell Saint-14 the answer.
-
Just a note that Saint-14's presumed death is probably one of the reasons for the City's onset of bleakness and depression at the beginning of Destiny 1 when we arrive.
-
Saint: “Where is father?” Me: *Looks at Ikora and Purple Jelly Belly* Me: “So who’s gonna tell him?”
-
Saint-14 should be the new speaker.
-
The Speaker was a charlatan. I couldn't care less. Saint-14 was just the Speaker's pawn.
-
Oh no, a character who has hardly even been mentioned in the story will be sad because someone died. Currently struggling to hold back tears
-
$10 worth of silver says he won’t even mention the speaker at all.
-
Well firstly, I’m 99% certain that the Speaker we knew wasn’t the one Saint knew. There have been multiple Speakers throughout the City’s history. Osiris himself was supposed to be the next Speaker before he was exiled. So it’s logical to assume that during that lengthy gap between Osiris’ exile and the start of the first game, the Speaker from Saint’s time stepped down and the Speaker we knew took over. Second, I highly doubt that will even be acknowledged or brought up.
-
But like... That speaker from the comics is NOTHING like the one we met in the games. So either something's up, or something isn't canon
-
Super excited for his 3 lines of text to speak it's so exciting omg.
-
He already did when I saw him in the trailer
-
“Your Father’s dead. The Speaker died a weak martyr.” That wasn’t so hard...
-
Heeeeey 14.... Ya daddy dead.... Bye *Skips away*
-
I wish this game put the lore in game It'd be so good
-
Bruh, if he asks this, I'm gonna lose it. And I swear if he does, our guardian better answer the question, not our ghost.

Editado por Major Alan DUTCH Schaefer: 12/4/2019 11:14:24 PMSaint 14 ain’t shit compared to us he killed a lot of vex which we could clearly kill in minutes.
-
I’ve never trusted either the speaker or the traveler. So I don’t care if he asks, I’d tell him straight speaker’s dead, so’s Cayde. So suck it up and start punching.
-
Zavala, Ikora, or even Osiris will probably tell him. They were much closer to the Speaker than we were.
-
Are we changing time or merely experiencing a strand of it? will saint still die at some "future" time. If we gave him the shotgun he still needs to give it to us.
-
This season will make many people cry and thus by extension Saint 14.
-
Saint 14 for new speaker

Editado por Jet: 12/5/2019 12:44:24 AMI'll tell him myself that his useless dad died like a pig by a space hamster, but I'll wait until father's day. I want those sweet delicious exo tears. 😈
-
"He went out like a lil' -blam!-"

Editado por Smough: 12/4/2019 10:41:47 PMNope, a character I have no emotional attachment to and only know about because of his corpse and a little bit of lore isn’t going to make me cry. In fact, I don’t think any character in destiny is fleshed out enough or spends enough time with our character to actually make me feel anything.
-
It’s enough to make a titan cry
