The mysteries of the Ascendant Realm are many and are still being explored. Various pieces of lore collected by Guardians have established the Ascendant Realm is ruled by the Sword Logic, but the Throne Worlds within becomes more and more curious as time goes on. From the Throne chapter in the Dreaming City, we learned Eleusinia was made by Mara Sov with the aid of the Ahamkara Riven. The ship class known as Unfinal Shapes, and the passage by Eris Morn found within, speaks of a Throne World made for the Light. The natural Throne World, as the Weakness Verse of the Book of Sorrows, throne worlds are normally made by Hive who attain sufficient power in the Sword Logic:
Your body is gone, but you have endured. Safe in the cyst universe created by your own might — your throne world. From this day forward, Auryx, you and your sisters will each survive death — so long as you aren’t killed in your own throne. .... When you return to the material universe, use this lesson to complete your work.
Those who possess a Throne World of their own are capable of surviving death in the material world, but this would seem contradictory to the philosophy of the Sword Logic, a loophole in its design. By the normal laws of the philosophy, those who are killed have their power taken by their killers, but to kill a Hive God in the material world does nothing but send them back to their Throne Worlds, safe until they can return. One explanation I have found for this apparent loophole is that the Hive God exists in a state of mind-body dualism. Their power in the Sword Logic is so strong that their mind and body become distinct and separate from one another - the body exists in the material world, while their mind can return to the higher dimension of the Ascendant Realm at will, to the throne worlds where their mind governs the reality within their throne worlds.
