A theory about how we ended up with the destiny 2 we got

Edited: for clarification on things So I wanted to just add my theory (as in this probably isn't really what happened but is just basically what i think could have happened) as to why destiny 2 turned out to be so lackluster, so i'm sure we've all heard the story of the last year of Destiny 1's development, how bungie higherup's basically threw out the story because they didn't think it would be acessable enough and that along with one of the composers/founding members being fired caused the lead writer and a bunch of the longtime talent at bungie to leave (which might have included the people who helped create the tiger engine I couldn't find out much about that, hence why it's still hard for them to make content since they can't change the engine too much due to not being familiar with its foundation) So bungie was basically stuck 11 months from release with no story but all of the character models, weapons, area's, and gameplay systems ready to go, now the higherup's wanted an acessable story right? so I'm sure they'd also wanted to dumb down the gameplay too, but they had less than a year before release, they didn't have time to strip everything out and make it "acessable" and so just pouted and stuck with the gameplay they had to avoid completely breaking what they had left, then after house of wolves came out they all got distracted by splatoon or something, giving the remaining talent at bungie time to plan out the sequel in the form of a giant boxed expanson implementing all the improvement's they'd made to the engine. but then when the higherup's come back for the christmas party they noticed bungie still hadn't removed the skill tree system and the story was getting complex again, so they fired the lead and basically said to scrap everything apart from the europian dead zone that they had managed to recover from destiny 1's cutting room floor and hired someone from marvel to make a story more like that guardian's of the galexy movie that all the kids where into, and to also make the game easier to stream and watch by getting rid of the particle effect heavy powers and weapons and to make it more "competative" like that counter strike game all the kids seemed to like watching. and so with less than two years left for development they got to work, quickly throwing together some new planets thanks to the improvements to the engine they'd managed to do, having to cut out random rolls to save time on testing like how allegedly they removed the health system from halo 2 so they didn't have to test how much health a player would lose between each encounter, and so satisfied with their work, the bungie higherup's promptly got distracted by monster hunter world. but hey, that's just a theory, A GAME THEORY! thanks for reading :3 and also I've premptivly placed this to feedback so you don't have to move it, your welcome
