Many of you have your heart in the right place and believe these multi million dollar companies need to add new revenue streams to survive modern game development, but the numbers just don't fit that narrative.
Let's look at some numbers shall we?
Destiny 2's publisher's (Activision) total assets are worth $17.452 billion.

Most public companies worth is calculated from debt and speculation from investors, assets are also tangible and intangible values owned by different parts of the company ,hence why they’re need to get more money from things like etc Eververse or else their debt /capital ratio goes way off.
