I just got a Vanguard Order to "rapidly" defeat enemies with an SMG. "Fine," I think, "I'll go do a Solo Ops, knock it out real quick!" But nope, as OP said, it takes an entire magazine to kill a red bar, there's no way to "rapidly" kill things with primary weapons. Eventually I downgraded myself from Ultimate to Grandmaster level and managed to get the order completed, but it didn't feel great stepping down my difficulty just to complete a legendary order. Ultimate isn't fun.

Bungos "power" progression. Play more, less power, less options, less fun to do more of the same while getting weaker at every step as a reward. Bungie is the drunk uncle at the Christmas party now. They need to go sleep it off and get their sh!t together for awhile. What am I saying, that implies hope for the franchise, and everybody sees what THAT looks like now. A snoring lump on the couch covered in vomit. Reality has FINALLY set in. Even for the hardcore youtube creeps. They are all scrambling to make content elsewhere because they know this game is cooked.

Weapons are super weak, abilities are ok and our resistance is non existent.
