Bungie, seriously, you had a real opportunity to make a good expansion here, and a lot of the design decisions made were just, awful. Whose brilliant idea was it to have no health regen in the lawless frontier? This makes certain builds and playstyles so much more powerful than others (builds with inherent health regen) and makes other builds not worth even messing with. Also, whose great idea was it to take the most hated part (invading) of the most hated game mode (Gambit) and use that in the new activity? Do you people seriously know nothing about your own game? Nobody wants this! It's stupid! The campaign was incredibly meh and cliche, although I've come to expect that since after Taken King. The factions are cool but the long -blam!- game modes we are forced to play as the only way to level them up are boring AF. Also, timegating the quest line requiring a reset of the priority order the next day was also incredibly stupid. I'm pretty sure this is the first expansion that I've played for only about 1 day and already don't really want to play again - the mechanic of having no health regen completely sucks the fun out of the mode for me.

Instead of repairing what's there, they add more mechanics and headache. There's no way this game ever attracts new players ever again. It's over folks. Destiny 2 will be unplugged by this time next year.

TTK fixed what was broken and brought the player base back, ROI retained us and gave us hope, then they made the exact same mistakes in early D2 that were made in early D1. The difference this time is that there isn’t an ROI coming to save the game, and everything they put into the game is progressively worse and more contrived. A sad death by a thousand cuts for what could have continued to be a great franchise had they learned from their mistakes in D1.

Il try and get my saber then leave it at there but from what I hear getting the saber is tedious bs aswel

I figured out why they are being extra sloppy with their coding for Renegades.. It's them doing the bare minimum to not get fired so when Sony finaly pulls the plug they can apply for unemployment benefits!!

10 RepliesI guess people will cry about anything. The game mode is fun and I haven't had an issue with health. You can also use the Renegades ability that gives you health and abilities.

Taking away auto shield recharge and replacing it with a convoluted system of hitting another button to open a second d ability set just to throw down a healing grenade is ridiculous and taking away the revives just to for a pickup of revive tokens is also crazy you have basically ripped apart the core parts of being a guardian with your ghost. If you wanted to male a star wars game you should have made a separate new game

This is the same ol -blam!-, but even more cheap and dirty. Bugs o plenty and an unoriginal story. The nine arc sucks. “Go talk to…go talk to…now go to this area so you ghost can phone in a call. This ain’t it. And on the cover to push returners away is NO new strikes, NO new crucible anything and a dumb frontier segway that wasted resources yet again for endgame players. P.S. I would have paid 40$ for two -blam!- NEW strikes. Back to I sight Terminus everyone!

We were forced to watch Aunor fight him at the beginning of the campaign, while we had to fight some stupid, fat, generic Cabal whose name I already forgot. Fail.

Done the campaign on all three characters. I am done until Dawning. No bounties anymore on planets, why ?? .. As I am 550 it's either the boring Lawless Frontier with power deltas, timers, limited revives and the endless hordes of overpowered ads or the Portal. I just paid just over half of the cost of this dross for the Gran Turismo DLC. I'll be spending my time there in VR and not wasting it on this buggy pointless tedious dross. And have they lessened the Season Pass rewards ?? .. three cores used to be five didn't it ?? Bungie can't help shooting themselves in the foot, and it's getting old.

I get that it gives a higher percentage of Orb HP when an Orb is picked up but still, health regen like how it was before they decided to make HP a resource was better in my opinion because even at 100 point stat in HP, I feel like picking up orbs are only giving 3%-5% HP per orb when seeing the HP bar move. I know we have a higher HP pool value but still feels like dog sh!T honestly.

I enjoy the new Invasion game mode (When it's not just a 1v1 crucible match) It just needs a bit of balancing. Don't lump everyone in to not liking something. Edit: my only gripe is the deathmarks. Sure keep them as a way to boost rewards, but don't lock me out of the mode because I've not collected any.

Edited by Infamous067: 12/5/2025 12:09:29 AMThe invasion part of the activity is fun though. It’s fun for both sides since we can all use the new seasonal abilities. Nothing more fun than calling in a sparrow and chasing after an invader while you gun him down lol. Invading is fun too, it’s very challenging because you don’t start off with heavy so you gotta really have the skill to wipe the team. It’s a lot harder to invade than you think. Also, 90% of the time, when trying to invade, you will end up doing a 1v1. Ive had times where I didnt even get a single invader. I also want to point out that once you kill an invader 3 times, for the rest of the run, you don’t have to worry about getting invaded again. If the invader gets 3 kills and picks up the motes on top of that then hes basically gone too. There is absolutely no downside to having invaders. As for the rest of the mode with the lack of heals. It adds a bit of a challenge but it’s really not a big deal. There are a ton of those destructible pots scattered all over the map. They contain health and sometimes they contain heavy ammo. Seriously, a little bit of challenge is not the end of the world. Enjoy it for what it is, or don’t? I can think of other things to actually complain about, the new mode is not one of them.
