Beat Hard Mode Crota and I must say I am not impressed
I received the legendary sparrow from defeating crota on hard. I was super pumped because I thought it would have skulls and bones on it and a green flame because all of the other crota's end gear is like that. But nope, it is the exact same thing as the time breaker from VOG with a worse paint job. I mean seriously though Bungie, don't over extend yourselves on this reward! I am extremely disappointed in this, you didn't even try! all you did was change the two colors from red and gold to black and army green that is not only lazy on your part but honestly unacceptable.
Edit: Beat it twice now. Still disappointed!

Come on. You saw the ship. Copy n paste of VoG ship with some green bones on it. Bungie pushes boundries. I wonder if the artist and 3d modeler are proud of there work?

2 OdpowiedziI agree, OP. The normal Crota Raid is missing that element of "fun", and the Hard mode is missing it as well. My Clan and I went through the first two phases of the Hard mode last night, and it's the same old same old, just with enemies that are even more "bullet sponge" than before. The lack of creativity increase in hit points is not a substitute for lack of appreciable content. Even on hard, Bungie's newest "Raid" is still a crappy Strike that they're trying to dress as a Raid. The whole thing is just missing that element of "fun" that seems to be completely intangible to Bungie's developers they have assigned to the Raid Department. The loot system is still as crap as ever. there's no evidence that it's a "smarter" loot system that they described to us before 'The Dark blows' even launched. I actually believe that the Vault of Glass loot system is actually more accurate in giving out the full variety of rewards than this loot system is, and that's a sad claim to have to make. Sure, Bungie changed around some cheeses (they apparently have not removed or fixed them), but the sheer amount of glitches has increased exponentially. It won't be long (I'd say give it another update, maybe two) before the glitches will be bad enough that the Raid will be nigh unplayable. This Raid was crap before, and the Hard mode is even worse. This was a very lazy attempt on Bungie's part, and the level of laziness exceeds even the lazy effort at making the Raid in the first place. And that's a damn pathetic claim to have to make as well. TL;DR: Highly disappointed in the lack of effort on the Raid and it's Hard mode by Bungie.

Hard mode is disappointing but it has nothing to do with loot. It has to do with nothing exciting really being added. The gatekeeper and wizards are the adds? lame. The rest is bullet sponging. That's pretty low on the effort scale as far as I'm concerned.

You "fixed" the bridge encounter 3 times now and it's still cheesable!!! Let's think about that... Instead of fixing it once.. You guys have now wasted 2-3 more weeks of hot fixes on practicaly the same damn patch. I suppose using nearly a month of time to make destiny a better game wasn't going to happen anyway, so why not just act as if you're hard at work by fixing the same issues again and again. What a waste of time. This isn't the first time this has happened either.. I remember it with VoG Atheon. Fix ,unfixed ,fix ,unfixed. ..

Looking at the ships for example, there are just a handful of components like cockpit, wings and engines.. Ever played galactic civilizations? Old ass game but the ship designer had dozens of components, free to rotate and scale. Bungies ship editor must be like a 1 year old kid's building bricks..... the sparrows all look the same - with minor changes to the skin/color........... has bungie ever played a real mmo? Mounts/vehicles are some kind of personal attitude in other games. Ride an oldschool horse? Nope, I want this fire breathing monster lizard!!!! In destiny you can choose between .. .. red, green and blue.............. The whole hard raid sucks.. how curious I was about the gatekeeper above the crystal in normal mode! What will he do? There has to be some special about him! Nooooooooot... just ignore him.... As far as I remember bungie announced that hard crota would require completely new tactics as it would have different mechanics, unlike atheon normal/hard which is pretty much the same after all. On crotas bridge there seemed to be these circles like those below the totems in bridge phase and the activation plate in the middle. I wondered if we had to hold and defend them or something like that. Noooooot... Crota hard is another example for bungie letting the players down. I finally lost all hope for the game. Honestly, there is not single thing bungie actually [i]improved[/i]. It goes downwards all the time, further and further...

I agree. I got the sparrow as well. I was happy to see that it was a different color from the old sparrow even if it is O.D. Green. I immediately took it on patrol to see if the trail had been recolored... Nay says bungie. I have only done the hard raid once so far this week, and all I managed to come away with was material, a chest piece, helmet, shader, and the sparrow. I have two more characters to run so hopefully I will see some weapons.

Yeah let's take the raid we had before, throw on the heroic modifier, and make all of the enemies one level higher than any player can reach. Creativity at it's finest!
