Hi there!
As of March 25th, it is no longer possible to unlink any platform account from any Bungie.net profile.
Before this date, in order to remove any platform account from Bungie.net profiles, you must be able to authenticate the account. Bungie cannot remove any account from any profile for any reason, as this would be considered unauthorized.

It would surprise me Bungie would let this slide and would force players to stop playing the game. We are talking about an account i have never seen. If Bungie wouldn’t do anything about it, it would be the equivalent of robbing a bank and the police saying “not my problem”…

It was still manually linked, and whoever did it had credentials to the accounts in order to authorize it. You would need to work with Steam support to get the account banned.

It is an Epic games account and they don’t want to cooperate. They say I have to take it up with the developers from Bungie. So if I read this correct… Bungie does not want to help players who are the victim of hacking. They would rather force them towards other games than assist? Even though I can prove ownership of the other 4 linked accounts. (Including the original account which was first linked to Bungie)…

Bungie is a trash company who can’t help their players. I tried the same thing with getting my PlayStation account linked so I can continue where I left off and they won’t help. Even though I have access to prove it. It was an extremely stupid idea to ever stop the link/unlinking of accounts.
