We do get a lot of rewards, BUT the issue is that nothing feels like we actually worked for it.
The old grandmaster nightfalls are a good example. You play to get a specific weapon, which only drops during that week. After a few runs, you finally have a decent roll. Feels a lot better than having 10 rewards after finishing any match and have to delete all of them even though each drop is tier 5.
It takes out the "glee" factor in online gaming...
You can compare it with borderlands where you get too much loot, yet you see yourself dismantling almost everything you received.
Bungie, this is destiny and not a hardcore looter shooter. Just focus on the feeling of actually achieving a piece of useful gear in this game rather than handing out every little thing like some trash found next to the sidewalk. Also, ornaments are not useful. They only make you look good. So most people dont care too much about ornaments....
That's why the previous system worked a lot better

I remember bringing the point up we are getting too much loot because its literally a dismantling simulator and I got told I was gatekeeping rewards. The whole reason perk pools are sometimes inflated asf is because you get of those drops an hour. You have a point
