Kinda my stance as well; like yeah, we should acknowledge that Bungie is finally listening, and maybe praise the admission of how badly they f***ed up with the EoF changes that they made in the Renegades 'roadmap' post. But we should absolutely not be praising them for the act of fixing their own mistakes; it's like someone expecting praise for gluing back together a vase that they's just picked up and slam dunked onto the floor: it was perfectly fine before, it's now lesser even having been fixed (because damage was done, and it will never be the same again), and there was absolutely no reason to break it. Bungie could have done the changes in parts over time (e.g. get all content Portal-integrated first, then add Tiers, then do Armour 3.0), and reversed course on the failures when they still had some community good will. The one thing I will say is we shouldn't be lambasting the ground/mid-level devs; we've seen plenty of leaks saying they hated making these changes as much as we hated playing them, but were over-ruled by the corporate leeches in middle and upper management who either don't game or actively look down upon gaming but want the fat paychecks that Bungie put up to try to attract business-savvy staff..... I will forever heap scorn upon those idiots; Pete Parsons and his cronies should be unemployable for the rest of their lives based on how badly the game has declined, and how bdly Sony got ripped off.
