I've been the opposite of a doomer on this topic for a long time. But now I think they are waiting until Marathon comes out to reveal no more updates to destiny. They can't do it right now as destiny is their only source of income.

The fact that D2 is their only source of revenue (other cash flows are probably negligible in comparison), makes it even more mind boggling that they thought it would be a good idea to pull resources from D2, to develop a game no one asked for, in a genre that has been milked for years and is now dead, while simultaneously stealing artwork for assets. My imaginary pet goldfish could have ran a game studio more effectively.

100%. They see that the destiny crowd is getting older in age and think that is a negative. And they are wanting to try and diversify their players age base. That's ok, but you can't sacrifice your current players to do so. The mistake they are making is the new younger generation of players don't stick with games. They have no retention and jump around. The destiny player base is the exact opposite of that which bungie has milked for years and taken for granted.

I stopped playing after being here since alpha D1 because I didn’t want to be used as an ATM.
