I still think that was appalling. And all those that scream "it's a live service game, they can vault things".... well I'm pretty sure at least half of that was a box product, I had the disk.
I physically purchased the planets Io and the water one I can't remember the name of.
I want all of that back.

The water one is Titan and it's liquid methane not water.

That's it, I couldn't remember. 👍

Physical copy or not, you only ever purchase a license to use the software "As is" and the developer reserves the right to amend and update said product as is deemed necessary. Standard extremely simplified EULA conditions I'm afraid. Of course it does not help when vaulted content has mysteriously been through a digital shredder and is not recoverable. ;)

Wait until the EU makes such practices illegal along with “vaulting” no more taking purchased content away. Too many EU Customers consider they’re being ripped off for their Politicians to ignore. Interesting times ahead indeed.

I'm in the UK so strictly speaking any EU law changes may not apply lol.

Such a shame, I think Io was one of nicest planets. It put me in mind of a small Venus. It had a sense of mystery. I'd love that planet back, in fact I'd happily replay all of the initial campaigns. Never mind ay.

I'm afraid the soul of the game has been lost. Sad indeed.
