I’m a bit ignorant of this, but what are the signs this is happening? Like when the players body contorts in a weird and rapid way, that you can’t replicate on a controller? Looks more like a mouse throw?
I just assume I’m trash in pvp because I’m old and slow now.

-
Run macros? Like slide punch shoot? That’s all I can think of, haven’t used macros since the WoW days.

like healing below a certain point with nade automatically
-
Don’t forget 180° back slides on a single button press
-
I actually didn't know that was a thing. Ofc

Oh gross?!!

The only genuine way is that people on controller have to turn slowly and at a relatively consistent pace comparative to a mouse, which can flick onto a position much more easily. And even then, people are worse at detecting that than they think they are. Lots of people think they're good at spotting cheaters, and they just simply aren't. Aside from someone flying around throwing out infinite supers or heavy ammo it's just not that easy to spot, and peoples judgement gets clouded very quickly by their ego.

them not taking flinch ever is a dead giveaway

I’ve made friends with multiple cheaters in this game. They’ve sent me their setups and I know for a fact they’re cheating. I report them without their knowledge every time I log in and they’re always back on. Bungie doesn’t want to mess up an immoral sense of revenue

you too huh?

Yeah man it’s depressing

I... don't even know where to start with that there is so much wrong there I'm honestly flabbergasted Firstly, that has almost nothing to do with what I was saying. The only overlap is that the topic is cheating. Second you care enough about cheating to call it immoral, and yet you're still willing to be friends with people who cheat? Third, you regularly report these people behind their backs, hoping to get them banned, and yet you still call them friends? I think your definition of friendship and mine are very different. Finally, reports are not a guarantee that someone will get banned. All it does is, if there's enough of them, AT MOST, get the devs to look at an account. When you have to wade through thousands of false reports any given day, finding the few specific true ones that you in particular care about is a bit of a tall ask. Beyond that, anyone who has worked in security for a game developer will tell you that cheating is not a problem that can simply be solved. You are constantly, every single day, having to find ways to play cat and mouse with these cheaters. That's in addition to people who sell or steal accounts. Usually they're all in bed with eachother. I know for a fact that cheaters do get banned in this game, I've seen it happen. If people slip through it's not necessarily for lack of trying. It's because a team of like maybe 20-30 people if they're well staffed has to basically fight an organized crime ring of people who make money off of cheats. It's an uphill battle. And a battle that no game is winning right now. So, in conclusion; if you're being honest about what you've said here today, it says way more about your values than it does the work ethic or anti-cheat goals at bungie.
