Hey Bungie Support and Community, I'm experiencing a really bizarre and frankly upsetting issue with my Bungie account and I'm hoping someone can shed some light on it or point me in the right direction for help. For some reason, my account seems to be constantly flipping back and forth between my current Bungie name, Ga1ax1an, and my old name, MyNameIsPur0. This isn't just a visual glitch; it seems to have actual in-game implications. The most persistent and annoying issue stemming from this is an undeclinable friend request being sent to my friend, Entity Erebus. Even though I (as Ga1ax1an) am already on his friends list, the system is somehow still sending him friend requests from MyNameIsPur0. This request is stuck; he can't accept it, he can't deny it, and it's just perpetually there. To make matters worse, he is being constantly spammed with these friend requests, receiving a notification roughly every ten seconds. This relentless barrage of notifications is incredibly disruptive and makes it almost impossible for him to play the game without constant interruptions. We've tried everything we can think of on his end, but the request remains. It's become a constant source of annoyance and makes managing his friends list a pain. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It feels like my account has developed some kind of split personality! It's really frustrating to see my old username popping up and causing these issues, especially the persistent friend request. I'm really hoping Bungie support (or hell, ANYONE) can look into this. It's impacting my ability to interact with my friends properly, and the uncertainty around my account identity is quite unsettling.
