Hi,
I have a linked cross save between PS and Steam PC, and when I accidently disabled cross-save feature, it seems like all of the progress is primarily on the Playstation and not on Steam despite having more hours on the Steam platform and having owned all the DLCs on there too, it makes no sense for it to be on Playstation instead, but that's besides the issue.
I accidently disabled cross-save, and I was surprised to even find out there wasn't even an "are you sure" prompt to protect these incidents, and I am wondering if I can ask Bungie Support to link it back to the same account without waiting for the 90 day restriction, since it's the same PS account?
tl;dr
I accidently disabled cross-save, I need it to be linked back to the same account it was previously before disabling, and bypass the 90 day restriction since its the same account?
Thank you.
[...]there wasn't even an "are you sure" prompt to protect these incidents[...]
The entire process is the 'are you sure' prompt, as it is a multi-step, multi-authentication, multi-webpage process. It's not a simple click a button and done thing. If you'd like to leave feedback on how make the flow of the process more clear, you can post over in the Destiny 2 - Feedback forum with your ideas on how to improve it.

Edytowany przez użytkownika EckyThump: 3/22/2025 1:28:39 AMHey there. When you set cross-save up, you pick one of the linked accounts to become Active, this account is the one you see when you launch the game on any of the linked platforms. You picked PSN for this. However all cross-save was doing is sharing the account, so whenever you played the game on Steam, you were logging into and making progress on your PSN account's characters. That's why, now that cross-save has been deactivated, it looks like progress has been lost on Steam. What happened is that your PSN account is no longer being shared to it, so is no longer loaded up when you launch the game on Steam. What you see on Steam is whatever you had there before cross-saving. Unfortunately all cooldowns are mandatory, they cannot be reduced nor bypassed. Bungie does not forcibly unlink accounts, and they do not manually re-link or reactivate cross-save either. Once the cooldown elapses, you'll be able to set it back up again. Additionally, while it could be a sync issue, as viiTactiiCZz mentioned, the system is still showing cross-save as active, I know it has been slow to update usernames lately but I am assuming you've launched on Steam and seen that the PSN characters no longer appear?
