I wish I had one too. Tuesday I was going home from work. A black pickup truck careened across the freeway, rear-ended the car in front of me, bounced to the right, T-boning a small white car. The small white car got pushed to the edge of the road, flipped over, ending up on its roof. The pickup truck drove OVER the upside down car, then bounced up the embankment, stopped at the top of the embankment, then rolled down back on to the freeway landing on its side. 8 days later, within a mile of that same spot, a car cuts off a big rig, the big rig swerves and brakes. The big rig almost Jack Ives and the cab ends up sort of sideways on the embankment. The brakes of the trailer locked up and were smoking. Minutes later they started on fire. The driver backed up the truck, pushing the trailer into freeway lanes, got out, unhooked his cab, and drove it forward to save it from burning. 3 days after that, a motorhome pulling a trailer was riding the -blam!- of an SUV. The SUV didn't want to speed faster than it was (65mph limit, going around 70-75). Instead of the motorhome changing lanes to go around, it was riding the SUV's -blam!- and flashing its lights. It was in a middle lane and there was plenty of room to go around either on the left or the right. The SUV out it's hazard lights on, I'm guessing to indicate "back off of my bumper you're too close" & the driver of the motorhome swerved to the lane to the left of the SUV, sped past it, then came back into the lane very aggressively and way too soon. If the SUV hadn't of swerved, the trailer would have side-swiped it for sure. Because if the swerve, the SUV has to overcorrect and was fishtailing back and forth but the driver got it back under control. The trailer of the motorhome started shimmying back and forth because of the tragic maneuvers and as the motorhome driver tried to correct, it sent the trailer swerving more and more violently from side to side. The motorhome ended up skidding to a stop on the middle of the freeway at a 45 degree angle to traffic. That was 3 crazy things within a 2-week span. There are a lot of less dramatic things I've seen too, and I keep forgetting to get a dashcam for my commute. I recently moved, so now I'm commuting about 2-hours a day on Southern California freeways, and I see tons of crazy stuff. Luckily the commute is only temporary until I transfer soon, but I'll only get to transfer if I survive that long.

I suggest checking out the YT'er [i]Vortex Radar[/i]. The channel mainly covers radar detectors, but there's a good chunk of content available for dashcams. Also, not sure what your purchase timetable is, but he tries to cover online sales (notably Amazon and Black Friday sales) so with the approach of the holidays, I recommend subscribing so you get a heads-up on those.
