Just watched the Helsreach fan animation a few weeks ago. Pretty banger story. Found a pdf of it as well and read like an hour of missing content. I might read the whole thing later.
And maybe, in the grim darkness of the far future, I might buy minis.
also I should get TTsim. Looks very good, though I should coordinate with my buds on that.
The minis are prohibitively expensive at times, but kill team makes the whole hobby more affordable and more reasonable. You can play sooner and sample a more microcosmic version of tabletop wargaming hobby, without spending your life savings 😉

I should’ve gotten the Death Korps Kill Team ;0;

Its still one of the better teams in the game right now. :>

NOOOOOO
$259… interesting.
Wait. Can I just buy some figures, and find the nitty gritty details online? It’s not like I’d use the rest of the Octarius set which is mostly Boyz. What makes a KillTeam box?

Edytowany przez użytkownika The Spoken: 10/28/2024 8:44:34 PMYea, if you can find someone to play with, you can get away with buying just the Kill Team. It used to be that you could also buy a second box and run extra troopers in lieu of the specialists. I'm not sure if that's still a rule or not in the 3rd edition. The old Octarius Box will come with the old edition of Kill Team and also Kommandos which are a fun team but kind of got hit with the nerf bat in 3e. In any case, you don't need the overpriced terrain to play, just imagination and wahapedia. If you want to play a game via TTS just to see if it's something you'd like before you buy it. I am 100% down. Don't know if your gonna find Vet Guardsmen unless you 3d print them, though, they were quite popular. The Octarius Box has cool stuff, but the books and rules will be out of date. You can find the 3e rules and team rules on the Warhammer community website though.

Truue, though I’m mainly worried about quality and the other stuff it comes with. Plus the full thing (Octarius?) is prolly marked up like cray cray now.
gah dang it was $80 back then. Now it’s $200+ on eBay noooo

Truue, though I’m mainly worried about quality and the other stuff it comes with.
I understand the concern about quality. It costs a little more in the short run, but it's saved me some money (and heartbreak) in the long run by "auditioning" print providers by ordering a model or two instead of an entire squad (or four! 😜). The print above (and a sniper I bought) were from a provide I'll be sure to use again. Sadly, she's on a break until after the holidays (must be nice) so I'll be waiting a while. Those two errant strands in the right-hand image were the only thing I need to clean up, except for straightening the rifle barrel on the sniper mini. But it's long, thin piece of resin that's got no support, nothing to do to prevent that.

Hmm… Perhaps Santa shall grant me a few resin goodies in December…
or maybe I’ll hand GW $40 for something not worth $40 idk depends how Cavill’s TV show turns out. Or the Secret Level episode from Amazon (Throne I hope it’s good).
