My main dislike of interacting with the mini part of the hobby is how unintersting the models feel to put together. I got into Gunpla, and building my many gundams has given me a taste of what models could really be like. Gunpla don't even ever need glue, they just snap together! Some loose parts occaisonally need a bit of adhesive, or you can glue the whole thing like I did with my first few and accidentally make posing nigh impossible... (my poor Real Grade Full Armor Unicorn can't transform to the cool destroy mode because of my foolish overuse of glue)
Though, I am a fan of tabletop strategy. I've been super into a certain Tom Bloom's works recently (LANCER, Magnagothica: Maleghast, CAIN), and I've played a couple Magnagothica games online via Tabletop Sim. Tabletop strategy is seriously fun, though my completely unpainted and pretty shittly glued together Admech force is probably going to stay on the shelf.

Edit: even more so these days with the new monopose models, I feel like they've gone for style over substance, the new ork models especially have made finding boyz and old Nobz a priority for me. I love the posable gorilla Boyz, they have so much more character.
