With everyone already understanding that Marathon is probably dead before arrival why can't bungie change it up?
Destiny already has Marathon and other games in their universe. Who is to say Marathon can't be in the same realm?
Frontiers should have us going out into the universe and visiting other worlds and find the Marathon U.
Bungie could use Eris piloting or finding info on the dreadnought about other worlds. Xur and Starhorse already have dares helping fuel the crossover. Drifter takes us out to other planets and we encounter the other Universe. Take the pvp pve maps from Marathon and use them. Warminds and even Maya now in the vex network interacting with the AI in Marathon. Have their universe be before the destiny verse and make it canon. Thoughts?

Hear is a better question: Should bungie introduce the Flood to the destiny paraverse? Given the 9 were able reach across the paraverse and pull items from these other universes, it's theoretically possible that they could accidentally introduce a flood super cell to destiny. It's even possible that the flood had interdimensional travel since halo lore theorized that the flood had escaped the milkyway galaxy and that there could be entire galaxies consumed by flood. This would fit into destiny lore perfectly and could explain a lot of things. For example; what if the Witness knew about the flood and this was why he wanted to rid the universe of all physical life to prevent an outbreak. Or this could explain the vex and their creation, as what of the Gardener and Winnower created the vex as a counter measure for the flood, since they are the perfect anti-flood unit. It's also possible that egregore is a proto flood still in it's early stages of infection. After all both are parasites that keep their hosts alive in a psychological prison while it feeds on them and both can reproduce by spore, not to mention that in halo lore the proto flood would increase aggression in the infected much like those exposed to egregore. This may also explain the rift between the winnower and gardener as they may have different philosophies for dealing with the flood. The gardener could keep creating life hoping that an immune life form would emerge while the winnower believes the best solution it to wipe out life.

There was a theory that marathon is a core timeline and halo, marathon(reboot),destiny were the timeline branching out into different “what if’s” or something like that I honestly can’t remember
-
Bungieverse = The same thing over and over again but reskinned.

Edytowany przez użytkownika High Charity: 9/18/2024 10:48:32 AMThere's actually a pet/fan theory that every bungie game, if not in the same universe, essentially tells the same story with different characters over and over again. Marathon was heavily inspired by Pathways, Halo CE started as basically Marathon 4, etc etc
-
Only if Bungo improves its narrative. Like across the board. Because they don't write good stories, they write passible ones.
-
The last thing we need from Frontiers is Bungie attempting to incorporate other stories in Destiny’s narrative. The entire appeal of branching out is that we might see something new.
-
If that was going to be the case then they should just take the Marathon resources and turn them into something cool but that actually fit with the Destiny narrative. And potentially expand on PvP.

No But I wouldn't hate a Master Chief Cameo He falls through a portal , and starts to punch a Cabal and says "This is the strangest looking Brute I have ever seen" Then he looks at a Titan and says "Where'd you get that armor Spartan ? And we would help him get back to his reality with Osiris and Elsie, and get the UNSC Assault Rifle has a unique frame auto , and the master chief helmet has a Titan Exotic that frightens and disorients red bar enemies when you kill a yellow bar or boss , called "The Demon"

I find it creatively bankrupt

They’ll end up making everyone somehow kiss

-
Maybe someday? Right now I feel like destiny itself could use some work before they risk overextending themselves again/further.
-
Could be great if they fully embrace the lore

The adjustment I would make to what you're saying is not saying "Marathan U".. you just say its another solar system within D2. But that is a big thought.. as in basically an online-verse (I also would not call it Bungie > time to re-brand) Its smart if it can be done technology wise (engine..etc). Its almost like making Destiny 2.5.. if you can truly up-scale something. The other-way taking D2 to Marathon is riskier (business-wise) but probably easier tech-wise (you get the new tech) good stuff

Edytowany przez użytkownika BarStool: 9/17/2024 5:17:33 PMThey already have this. The 30th anniversary had artifacts from different realms and times. The Halo Cryopod that Masterchief was in at the end of 3 (the last Halo game made by Bungie Edit: Cronologically) weapons from different games made by Bungie, and even the Marathon Ornament Set Why disrupt this?

I think in general these things are a lazy way to have lore without presenting it. The only one I've seen that was good was the thing Boneworks and Bonelabs and Duck Hunt are doing. Actually Control's world is pretty good too.

Sooo… make the already poorly-written and nonsensical world of Destiny even WORSE? Sounds good to me! HAHAHAH!

Reading the 1st couple sentences made me yawn chief, but imagining your ideas in action almost put me in a deep sleep.

lmao hardest pass of all time.
