Maybe it should be optional. The only problem with that would be all the people that would think they did contest mode when they didn't.

Haha yeah, I can see it now... "where is my emblem? We smashed contest mode!" I'm running contest mode. I find it enjoyable win or lose. I just can't understand why they decide to crap on so many players for the minority who will run it.

If it's the same as raids, then having the exotic guaranteed for doing it during contest mode will probably get more people doing it. Especially seeing as how dungeons have easier, more basic mechanics and only have 3 encounters to do
-
they didn't say there would be some kind of guaranteed reward...what's the point, I can just go through it 1-3 times a week and get different weapons and eventually get exotics...I paid for it and I want to go through it myself on the first day, I don't have to wait for a bunch of masochists to finish the competition...it shouldn't be mandatory!
-
It's not mandatory. That's why it's 100% optional if you participate or not. Why would bungie change how all the other contest modes have worked just for this one? But you know what, yeah, it sounds so much to play a game with endgame activities and have them be so easy everyone can do by removing in form of challenge. Oh, that's right, this game isn't that type of game. It's almost like any game that has ever done that just to cater to those who only play like once a week, if that, has either ended support within the first year of it being out or it forces the players to demand more challenging things.
-
What are you talking about? Do you even understand what you're saying? Poor stupid child... There's no point in this. Several people have already told you this, and you're still trying to prove the opposite... Narrow-mindedness
-
Yeah, the same people that probably tried to say dual destiny needed to be soloable. See how well that's going for them.
-
dungeons have literally always been designed so that they could be completed solo... your ignorance of the game and the process is also weak, as is your thinking.
-
I don't think you read that right. Not once did I ever say a dungeon couldn't or wasn't soloable. If you look again, I said the same people who are complaining about needing to wait 1 day to do the dungeon outside contest mode are the same ones who probably complained about not being able to do dual destiny solo, which isn't a dungeon.
-
you are comparing different things, that's why I'm explaining to you!! dungeons were always designed for solo play, raids were not! exotic mission was originally designed for two!! these are different examples...
-
Dungeons weren't designed for solo. They were designed for 3 person teams but have the option to be done solo with someone skilled enough to do so.
-
🤦🏻♂️ how many times do I have to repeat this, you're stupid, you don't know anything about this game!! The dungeons are designed so that they can be completed solo!!! All the dungeons that exist were designed so that they CAN BE COMPLETED SOLO!! In the exotic Mission for 2 people, you will never complete it solo just because the mechanics like in raids won't allow you!!! You will need another person and communication to perform some action!!! Do you understand the difference? If they developed the dungeons the same way, they simply wouldn't let you in there solo like in the exotic mission, but if it were the other way around, you would reach a certain stage where you couldn't complete it without the help of another person and that's it!! Ask anyone who has been playing this game for a long time and they will tell you the same thing!! your stupidity and incompetence showed up right away and I made it clear to you why and in what you are wrong!!! but you are so stupid that you continue to argue and for you it only gets worse!! that's all for now, go complain to your mom...
-
I just hear excuses ngl
-
You don't seem to understand the difference between being designed for 3 people and being soloable. Just because it can be done solo doesn't mean it was designed for everyone to solo it.
