They have been losing players these last couple of years, but every time new DLC comes out they don't gain as many players as they are losing. The game/business is in really bad shape, the worst it's ever been and it will get worse these next couple of months, and that means a lot more of that player base will drop off, there is no denying that. What I don't get out of all this is why they added and are still adding all these paywalls when the player count is dropping off, and they even made their 10th anniversary a paywall. WTF else has done that as a developer??? On top of it, adding a contest is their "solution' to try to get people to come back when most of the game has glaring issues that are causing the player base to drop off. To put it lightly because I can't post what I would like to. This business is most definitely not the brightest one out there when it comes to making decisions for a game. You don't cater to a very small percentage of your entire player base and put up a bunch of paywalls when you are losing your player base. HTF do they even think what they are doing is a good idea???

To be fair there isn’t much to do. We finished the last act and got to watch the real heroes around here (Saint and Ikora) stand up to the Conductor while we watched helplessly like the weak, god-killing beings we are. Thank goodness we have NPCs to carry the story for us. Players drop off when there’s nothing to chase and no fun activities. Bungie has concepts of a plan to continue, but even dropping little activities to do will only bring so many back and retain fewer still.

The game is good it's just not simple enough for newer players. Sucks though, they're missing out on a once in a lifetime IP.
-
is a casual game after all
-
People who make these kinds of posts are some of the most brain dead people ever. Of course a game after 10 years of constant struggle is going to lose large % of players. Judge all you want, you’d never come close to the success this game has had
-
I agree, GG. You should probably just delete all characters and the game at this point.
-
Dude, they've lost 300k since The Final Shape on Steam alone 324,634 to 32,462
-
Can’t believe it was so good, 300k daily players on steam a few months ago :(
-
And there will be a lot more losing interest. Trying to make people interested again will need a lot more than a future view about what's going to come next year.
-
Ok. They lost 100k. But bungies ESG is way over 9000 after Saint x Osiris.
-
There's just better games out there right now, like, Space Marine 2 & Black Ops 6 is just around the corner. I'm on a long D2 break myself, but i'll be logging in from time to time, just to check out the free bright dust section. 🤣

Good. Deserved. They listened way too much to their precious streamers, bungled and embezzled all that money, and made rea-tarded changes. That and the stupid woke agendas they are constantly shoving down our throats. I made a list of changes they should implement to get players back. Otherwise, this game will be completely dead by January.
-
Wow. Who cares.
-
Hopefully they lose all the steam players.

People come and go. Meh. I still like playing 😃
-
I haven't noticed any effect on my game, and I don't care until it does.

No pc players means the world 1st raid completion board won't almost purely be pc players. Also lessens the amount of macro users and other -blam!- players.
-
Bye I don't care about PC peasants
-
*yawn* Anyways, recommend a Netflix series/show I can watch y'all~

Its Friday the 13th myaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!

Hardcore player base will play no matter what content or lack of is pushed. Yeah there's a lot of player loss past TFS, no doubt about it, but so what? Unless you're a trials sweat or wanna grind comp I doubt it'll make a lot of difference. New season will see a small spike as normal and any substantial content drop will always draw old players back and some new players in. I'm not counting too heavily on Bungo's "two yearly DLC's", I doubt they'll be much more than a few missions and a new set of armour, along with a plethora of Everworse crap, of course. Apart from that I think it'll be business as usual, ain't nothing going to change.

It literally has and will continue to happen after time passes between expansions.

Too bad it’s not 100,001.
