I had hoped that they were secretly going to build on the old Cliffhanger mission from the Red War and have Asher Mir return after closing the Pyramiddion leading a Vex faction that he infected with individuality. But no, just follow the formula.

And sorry for just constantly posting, during lightfall and final shape we learned that we didn’t need our ghost to handle paracausal energy, with Zavala using stasis and Osiris using strand meaning we still have it just no way to channel it though us, so either bungie pulled a “we made it too complicated” or forgot about Asher being a guardian

No worries. I also feel like the world building and coherence has gone right out the window.

I think the only mention of Asher is the vexcaliber mission but it seemed that he was neither assimilated or managed to take control, if I am right he is just stuck in their code, even though it seemed the vex realised that destroying the pyramidion was the best choice and let him do it

Yup. They've got this guy that in the lore is a vicious intellect and the missions for him were seeds planted everywhere and they just kind of flushed building on that in favor of garbage like Neomuna or subjecting Calus to a strange, nonsensical end story.

Also just to mention, captain jacobson a normal human met the vex and somehow got turned into one before the one who is clearly the smarter of the two and was a guardian

To be honest, it wouldn’t surprise me if he just straight up used vex technology to make a body similar to a exo and a vex (which would look cool) just to say “I’m still human” and command a large army of vex

Which kinda sucks, since during the red war and season of the splicer we a friendly harpy, first one on Nessus we think is captain Jacobson and the one in the splicer as Asher as someone translated their language to “assistant” or something
