Weekly vanguard strikes does not count towards powerfull gear challange.
Every week i seem to have the same problem. After completing 1 strike, it stays at 1 completion (check refrence image in link). it seems to happen to me since season 4 launched and still continues in season 5. The friends I play with never rund into this problem before.

You need to match the element of the subclass at least 1 other in the fiteteam...
