It looks awesome. It played awesomely in the alpha that came out a few months ago. Can't wait. If it does live up to hype, than it will probably be the best shooter in a while

I do spread the info into other Doom posts. Even though the alpha did not have much, only one mode, one map, and a handful of guns, it still was one of the best fps in years. In my opinion. It sucks that Bethesda/id had such a lock down on alpha footage getting out. They had a text at the start, each time you booted the alpha up. It said that under no circumstances are you allowed to share any kind of recording of the game, and if we did so then that would result in a ban of future alphas and betas and more legal action. Our platform id was always floating around on the screen. If they had solid game play out on the Internet, then people would see how awesome it is.

That NDA is pretty standard for alphas but I'm glad the game looks the same as when I saw the original E3 trailer. People that played alpha are confirming, and I'm very stoked. DOOM was the very first game I ever played online. This was back in the days of windows 3.1 and you could only dial-up peer to peer over a 56.6K modem. 4-5 friends would all dial into the game and we'd have our own death matches. First solo online DM ever.
