The story is very interesting, and you feel like you are part of an alive world. You can pick up anything and it will be useful making a scope or something. You level up and increase your perks, making you the ultimate killing machine. For most the characters have great value and are a joy to keep around as companions, but for most it is the fact that you are alone in the wasteland. Also you don't need Xbox live! (Party popper)

For me, its got sentimental value. I played Wasteland (Fallout's grand daddy) back in '88. There is simply no better post apocalypse series IMO. I also enjoy open world games, rpg's, and customization. Fallout has all that.
