I thought my controller was the issue, but this is not true. When I try to sprint in destiny on the ps4, it does not work. The character will do one quick step at "sprint speed" for just about a second, and then return to normal speed or go even slower. Even if I hold the analog stick down, it will not sprint properly. It is highly inconsistent. Rarely it will sprint, however for just very few seconds, or it won't at all which is what happens practically all the time. I hope you see this bungie and fix the problem, it is frustrating =/ I have ruled out the possibility of it being a controller related issue since it works fine in other games on my console where a certain action is required by pressing or holding the left analog stick. I have researched this and I have seen that quite alot of people are having the same issue as I am, such as the individual who created the video that is attached to this post.
Hope you read this bungie and hopefully fix it =)
Kind regards,
André

I have the same problem and even bought a new controller. I have already maximize my agility, but am still running so slow and can't even slide. Do you have solution about this already?

3 RepliesPress down on the left analog stick and blow into it. Dust collected inside, worked for me after I did that.

1 ReplyThere's a small cooldown on sprint. Also there's a bug that let's u have the sprint animation but walking speed.

It's not the controller. This is an issue on Xbox one also. Run when left clicking thumb stick sometimes does not work. Used to be a small problem. Now it's worse since the taken king came out.

Me and some of my clan members are having the same issue

5 RepliesIf it isnt your controller you should still try and use the lil reset button on the back of the ps4 controller and see if that fixes it. Unless uve done that. I had a similar issue in cod ghosts before all the good games came out and that fixed it. Until i broke my left analog stick haha

1 ReplyI have an issue where I am sprinting, and either jump, double jump, throw a grenade, blink strike, or anything else that breaks sprint, and then I can't sprint again for about 2-3 seconds. I always figured there was a "cool down" on sprinting, but I've never had the issue you speak of. PS4 also

1 ReplyEdited by T_Scribblez: 4/9/2015 10:20:51 PMI am having the same problem as described above by the OP and did not have the problem untill the last patch 1.1.1.1. My controller seems to work fine for other games and I have only had my system since January 2015. Has Bungie addressed this issue?
