I understand that having a random drop chance for everyone is supposed to make the game more “fair". That makes sense of course but what doesn't make sense is the fact that I have close to a thousand hours in the game and kids that just got the game for the holiday have full sets of Crota's raid gear! Ordinarily this wouldn't bug me but I'm having the same issue I had in VoG. I didn't get the raid helmet until the first week crota was open and I only got the vex a week before that while others were getting them two at a time. So I decided of my own free will this time would be different so I re-rolled a characters to increase my chances of getting the raid helmet per week. Yesterday I ran the raid on my sixteenth re-rolled character before reset, yes that's literally the number 16 as in I sat through this story with no skip function and crucible 16 times after I had already did it for my first three characters so in all I've had to bare witness to this story 19 times *end rant* since it was before reset I decided to give the fresh week a chance before I'd call bullshit and post this! Guess what still no helmet for my warlock! Just to break these numbers down I would run the raid fresh on my two warlocks and my titan then reset a warlock 4 times in the week so that's 6 warlock attempts every week for the last month so 24 runs on my warlock total! I've helped people do it for their first time and witnessed multiple helmet drops. People with barely 40 hours invested in the game getting their helmet and friends who never rerolled getting their helmets. Ordinarily you shouldn't be able to bitch about something that's fair but in this case your loot system is literally spitting in the faces of the games truly committed and invested players. Why are we the ones that are going through this bullshit. I have every raid weapon maxed out and enough energy to max out four primary weapons as well as enough shards to upgrade three pieces of gear fully. Hell I've had people join in on the crota kill at the last minute and get the helmet before their ghost had even spawned for pick up. I paid for the season pass so I will play the next dlc when it comes out in March but after that I'm done with this franchise destiny 2 doesn't even exist as far I'm concerned. I'm not here trying to get my helmet by bitching in the forum rather this is my formal resignation from a franchise that I really enjoyed but I can't play a game that punishes it's most invested players so heavily. I'd hate to see all my hard work go to waste though so just before whatever comes out after the second dlc for destiny I'm going to sell this xbox live account I have almost every exotic just missing Thunder Lord, Hard Light, and Universal Remote I will have everything from the second dlc minus the helmet of course an ass load of strange coins exotic shards and other upgrade materials so just reply to this post or message me on xbox live with an offer even if I only get back enough to cover the initial disk purchase I'll be happy. That seems "fair" because I did the hard work for you! #Done!
