how the trade system should work

Before u idiots jump out of the window heres 2 facts...Destiny was originally designed with a trade system, that for security reasons was taken out before launch (look it up) and 2. this is a idea put together by user: FoxHuntRadio which is the best idea thus far that pleases both sides of the gate! "i have a simple solution that should appease everyone on both side of the in game trading debate......while both sides have a valid argument, the point everyone is missing is that this game was originally designed with a trade system and that is the only reason it has RNG loot......what appears to be a broken random loot system is not broken, its just missing the vital component that it was designed around....trading.....yes, open free trade would ruin the game, and yes no trading is unrealistic based on the design of the game.....so how about this.... 1. you can only trade with clan mates 2. you must be a member of the clan for 30 days to be able to trade 3. only equal value items can be traded (exotic for exotic, raid gear for raid gear) 4. you earn a traders mark for completing the raid 2 or 3 weeks in a row 5. both trading parties must have a traders mark to trade 6. each traders mark will allow only 1 trade *EDIT* 7. All gear traded should be completely reset once it has been traded this way, you cannot trade all you want, cannot sell or trade items to randoms, cannot become friends just to sell and trade an item, none of that would be an issue at all.....and to be honest, would save a lot of customers and make the game experience more dynamic and complete in my opinion....does anybody agree?"

  • I couldn't agree more on this. Since beta I have seen countless members with exotics and raid gear I want or need. Having this system would allow those as a clan to share their RNG luck with close members. It wouldn't hurt anyone to trade the countless plan c's I have obtained for a single icebreaker. Or the useless raid pieces that I already have for a piece I need. It benefits both parties and is hard to obtain. I think this should be looked at more closely.

  • destiny doesn't have enough variation in the amount of gear available to have a viable trading system and not make the game kill itself. Is the RNG broken? Maybe. But in my opinion the struggle is worth it in the end and makes the game what it is. Besides he's also asking bungie to put another feature into destiny along with the trading system. Also ok so what if you have gear your buddy wants and he has gear you want. You trade get what you want then what? I'm sure 95% of people on here play strikes raids or crucible (if you don't like PvP) because they are grindig to look for that piece of gear or to get their rep up or both. Destiny has what a few hundred different pieces of gear maybe? If it had a few thousand then I could understand a trading system. Besides most people who want a trading system want it only to get that ONE piece of gear. I mean think about it. Therr are 8 slots for gear. As a new guy that means that's 8 different prieces of gear (or more) that you want so your chances of getting something are high. If you're just looking for one specific piece of gear your chances of finding it are muuuuch lower.

    • I love it. Make it hard to be able to trade. If we could freely trade you would immediately see people starting to ask for money for their exotic. Also if trading was open with to rules then exotics would basically turn into rares or even greens. The special factor, although small, would absolutely disappear if open trading was allowed. Everyone would have every exotic which isn't the way it's meant to be. Great ideas OP, wish bungie would implement this.
