Exotic for exotic, legendary for legendary, ascendant for ascendant, etc.
okay bungie?
You want us to grind.
FINE!
Go add a broker/vendor in tower that charges a glimmer commission fee depending on the quality of the item.
All traded weapons or armor progress will reset.
And trade vouchers will only drop rarely and randomly. (Praise RNG-sus!)
Only one item can be traded per voucher from both parties.
For those of you who don't know what a voucher is, it is a pass that allows you to redeem a transaction
Let me emphasize "rare" because a lot of people still don't understand this concept and insist that people will exploit this system.
It would be a waste of your time to invest in playing destiny for an opportunity to get a trading voucher let alone a gallarhorn if you ever get one, just to sell it.

Would it be fair if I have two gallahorns and want to give my friend one? I feel it is, Especially when the trade vouchers would drop as exclusively as an exotic bounty. To limit exploitation, add in a bunch of factors that would make trading a pain in the ass; that the only way you could do it is for BOTH parties to have a voucher, Have a ton of glimmer. Basically you could only trade once in a blue moon and the opportunity would only present itself to the most dedicated players.
As for the real world currency for a gallahorn. Any one who seriously plays the game long enough for a gallahorn to drop is not likely to want to get rid of it for actual money. Especially when trading vouchers themselves are as scarce as an exotic. Maybe more scarce.
Also, I have two gallarhorns and it is ridiculous that some people who play longer than i and still dont; And I can't just give it away to one of my friends for say his... hard light? With the amount of time I've invested into the game I would not throw away an opportunity ( to trade my Gjallarhorn for say another exotic I really want) for real world currency. Not a likely senario, I'm sure it could happen though. For an large amount of money.
But people aren't likely to pay a high value for a gallahorn with the chance that xur will have it the next week. Also there are millions of people playing this game that have gallarhorn. How high could the price even get?
Idk... let's hear some creative regulating to prevent real world trading.

You would immediately have people grinding and selling trades on eBay. No interest at all.

Edited by Neutrill: 2/26/2015 5:51:37 PMI have a spare helm of saint 14 I'd trade for literally any of the 4 hunter helmets. Cmon Xur, I need a helm!

Game breaking why play the game. Not going to happen nor should it.

I support this idea 110%.

Trading is a terrible idea. I am, however, all for sharing weapons and gear with your fireteam. I think that would be a suitable option. I feel like if they allow trading it would destroy the value of guns, it would end up warping the game environment, and eventually you'd have losers selling guns for real cash. Trading ruined Borderlands and Borderlands 2. By the end, almost nobody actually "earned" their weapons because they had a buddy duplicate it for them. Diablo 3 on consoles is pretty much a sham these days due to trading. Or actually, the ability to drop weapons and gear. Again the issue here is duplicating items. Gear value was totally irrelevant, and the Professional Russians weapons (mod weapons) are everywhere now due to trading and duplicating. I'd rather wait for my first Gjallarhorn, Hawkmoon, Red Death, Monte Carlo or HoPF to drop or for Xur to sell them than be able to just have someone give it to me. The fact of the matter is that trading, while nice, just isn't for Destiny. I think that the ability to share items with your fireteam would make for an awesome strategy. Are you one of the luck few people that has multiple Gjallarhorns? Hook up the other guys in your fireteam and for the duration of that match, they may use Gjallarhorn! Sadly, I don't know of an easy way to implement it, but it would be a cool idea.

5 RepliesWhy, when people complain about fake 32's from people buying gear from Xur, would anybody support trading? Trading is the complete opposite of "earning" your gear. Everybody would almost instantly become a 32 and have all the best weapons in the game. It would completely kill any incentive to actually play the game. Bungie must be laughing their heads off every time this is even mentioned, LOL!
-
See people would just start selling guns. And people would buy them for a easy way around. But other than that sounds cool
-
2 RepliesWTS Gjallarhorn $200 USD That's why
-
1 ReplyYes bungie introduce this or I wont buy next dlc season pass

They need to do smth . They way rng works in this game sucks. I got momte carlo last week for the first time. Since reset ive gotten it 4 more times. They have it ass backwards. Instead of lowering the chance of the same drop it increases it. 18 runs crota hard i got the fang 10 times. Word 7 .
-
I'm all for trading but relying on RNG to bless me with the chance to trade, I think not. Add trading, add a NPC controlled trading bizarre but the trade voucher is a terrible idea.
-
16 RepliesHey you never know!! THE SAME FOLKS CRYING THAT TRADING WILL NEVER HAPPEN ARE THE SAME FOLKS THAT SAID MATCHMAKING WOULD NEVER HAPPEN DURING A WEEKLY EVENT. So its entirely possible for something along these mechanics to happen.
-
1 ReplyDownvoted. Terrible idea, always has been, always will be.
-
Equal trade system with Banshee-44 handling the transactions. Gunsmith needs more to do in the Tower anyway.
-
Yesterday beating Crota on hard, my friend got the scout rifle for the 3rd time, and I got the hand cannon for the 2nd time. I don't have the scout rifle, and he doesn't have the hand cannon. This would be a valid trading argument right there.
-
why do i keep seeing issues from launch still come up.... get over it.... trade is not needed in this ggame.....
-
There will never be a trade system, people would find duplication glitches and then there would be no rare exotics
-
I'm very fir trading as the next but it would give some players an advantage over others it would b e come a game of who knew the most ppl I mean it wouldn't bother me I have plenty of friends but players that don't would b at a disadvantage...if they could limit how much u trade and how often then I think it would b alright but just flat out trade would make it unfair, I know guns font make the player but with this game I can't tell u how many ppl I run across that are scrubs but are able to somewhat hold their own because of their weapons
-
We should have trading like blizzard games, when you earn something, you can trade it within 2 hour to your team.
-
6 Repliesno no no NO. there will never be a trading system it will destroy destiny people will buy exotics for real money
-
Trading would be cool, or if i could just give a good friend which also is a day oner, one of my ghorns. Rng gave me my 4th last night.
