I actually would agree with this, although perhaps lighten the sentence a bit for a first time offender...depending on their mentality about it. Some of them I honestly can't stand.
A prime example of it was when I was watching a show called Gangland, and they were interviewing one of the members of a certain gang who seriously said that his gang was more important than his own family, even his kids. Even if the show wasn't legitimate, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there are still people like that out there. Those people? You could bury a bullet in their skulls for all I care...I'll admit, I carry a bit of resentment against people who have children and don't truly appreciate that gift. People like that, in those gangs? They have a choice, they choose to be in a gang, they choose to put their own lives at risk as well as the lives of their family by association, and all for what? Some people aren't lucky enough to have a choice in that matter, some people lose who they love by a bad stroke of fate with no way to stop it. And all the while, these people risk losing the same thing, over nothing, because they choose to.
Pardon the rant, please...that story just agitates me.

you realize the "masked guy" in interviews is an actor, right? same thing with vice.

Still, doesn't change the fact that there are still people like that out there.
