Are user-created contests allowed in the public forums?

I was thinking about hosting a Destiny art contest* during Christmas break, the reward being $20 or so of the gamer currency of the winner's choice (Steam dollars/MSP/whatever Playstation monies are called). Would this be allowable, or would it have to be confined to a group? I'd probably host it in Art&Stuff, but it would be a public post. Is this allowed? The only thing that I noticed in the TOS about it was this
Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services for any business purpose, unless such Communication Service specifically allows such messages.
*Hold your horses guys, I'm not actually sure I'm willing to give you crazed hobos money, or that it will be related to Destiny, so don't go wasting your time drawing a huge battle (though it would still be cool).

 • I think if your initiative meets Spawn's criteria, you will be fine hosting this contest here. We typically only get involved in these sorts of things when people try to solicit money from forum users, solicit website traffic, or violate some sort of copyright. Bear in mind I am not the actual authority on this, I can only interpret the ToS and make a limited judgment, same as you. I agree with Spawn's (seriously, Spawn is one of the best users on these boards) interpretation, and see nothing wrong with his logic or criteria. Hope that helps.
