Skyrim was garbage.Hopefully Bethesda can make a game that dosent cater to the casuals next time.

I hope stuff like weapon degradation returns. I have waaaay too many ebony weapons that I can't sell because no one has any money!
-
That will not happen. They want more money. The casual market is where it's at.
-
Just because they dumbed it down doesn't mean it's horrible. They put a lot of effort in the game, and it shows.
-
Effort =/= good
-
More effort=better It's a fantastic game. Deal with it.
-
No. It's a slow, dull, shallow and boring game. The story is nearly non-existent and the side-quests are pretty much the same. It's so dumbed down for the casuals.

Edited by Centaur Moe: 11/12/2013 7:10:15 AMIt isn't dumbed down too much. How is it boring? Have you even played it? Combat is fun and it's always fun in the interesting world they made. There are a lot of fetch quests, but the good ones still exist.
It isn't dumbed down too much
Have you ever played Morrowind? Skyrim is like the CoD of RPGs.
How is it boring?
Story is pretty much non-existent. Dull and grey. Boring characters.
Have you even played it?
I wouldn't be saying any of this if I hadn't.
Combat is fun
lel

I dont care how deep it is if I cant see more than ten meters in front of me, npc's have identical dialogue options, npc's dont even enter or exit their own homes (some can't even move!), combat is the worst in any game I have ever played, cliff racers exist.... Not saying it's a bad game, but it's pretty much unplayable for most people without mods. And yes, it may be nostalgic and blah blah blah, but that dosnt make Skyrim a bad game.

Someone's mad that I have an opinion.

Really, I didn't notice.

Morrowind is my favorite game. Despire changes, Skyrim is still fantastic. The main story sucks but they're plenty of interesting side quests. I can understand being disappointed by changes, but to call it shallow is unreasonable. It is. Sneaking is fun, magic is fun. and sword play has gotten much better.

Caves are mostly the same (except for the Dwemer ruins) and the Falmer, Dragons, etc are all great new entries to enemies. I don't agree. Skyrim has plenty of depth in gameplay and side quests. Even if you didn't like it, it's a huge improvement from Morrowind and Oblivion. It can only get better.
-
One thing I didn't like was how Todd Howard ( The game director) said in an interview that the dragons will be unpredictable. You can clearly tell what a dragon will do at almost any given time.
-
It''l get better if Bethesda stop catering to casuals by making it easy and shallow.
-
I don't like the dumbing down, but it doesn't make the game bad for me.
-
for me.
There you go.

Glad we could both thoroughly explain our opinions.

Lots of effort doesn't make it a good game. It was really shallow, with not much going for it. Although it's an amazing RPG for beginners, but for veterans or fans of complex RPG style games Skyrim may as well be Call of Duty.

The effort they put into it is fantastic. The world is colorful, amazing, and interactive.
