Simple.
Lock heavy ammo for the invader and invaded team until the invader is defeated. It forces players to use actual weapon skill and teamwork to kill the invader instead of firing a shot from their rocket launchers and linears without any kind of thought. It also prevents invaders from wiping an entire team with 1 lucky rocket. To stop the issue of invaders hiding to lock heavy for the full invasion make it so invaders can be seen if they stand still or stay in a certain location for too long. It keeps invaders on their toes.
I reckon it will make gambit 1000x better than the gambit we have today...which is just god awful.
