Error code: weasel

Randomly keep getting kicked by error code: weasel. Does anyone have a solution, would be much appreciated.

      I'm going to throw my hat into this ring, symmetric 1Gbps connection via ethernet to PC and PS5 both give me the same symptoms:- Contacting destiny servers.... Contacting destiny servers.... Weasel Maybe even the odd anteater for good measure Yesterday I had to do the seasonal challenge for Resolve 4 times as it kept booting me at the boss. To test for connection drops I have a constant ping to google public DNS which never drops a beat or goes above 7ms when the issue happens so must be between me/ISP and destiny servers but bungie appears to be hell bent on stating that it's all our issue and once you follow all their "Help" they go silent. Most annoying is getting it during Trials and then getting a weekend ban for leaving games so i play CS:GO for my PvP fun and never had an issue.

    • Been having same issues. Weasel again again and again, no ban or other things followed their troubleshooting guide and still Nothing. No problems with my internet. All this after soltice update!

      • Getting the same thing with both Lan and Wi-Fi connection running over 300mbps, so sounds like a bungie server fail. I’ve also cleared my cache on my PS5 and deleted and reinstalled the game and still nothing. Getting really fed up with this nonsense!!

      • Usually this is an internet issue or Nat type issue, but due to various reports on here currently my best guess is its an issue with the Bungie servers. Looks like we wait for a Bungie response.

        Never ever had this much trouble staying connected… Baboon, Weasel, Chicken erros No matter where I am… Constantly… Kicked every 2 minutes… 😡 For 4 hours now… I already tried a Software Cache clear on the PS5 and restarting my Router..:

          Meh - old

          1Gbps, this is ridic, getting dc'ed left and right (pc/steam/2FA). Started when i logged on today.

          I’ve been experiencing the same thing for the last week. Constant Weasel errors and getting kicked. I’m on 400mbps, wired connection, NAT Open, and no issues on other games. Started out of no where 5 days ago. I’m on a Series X. Would love to get this fixed.

        • This has been happening to me for 3-4 weeks. 300 mbps, Spectrum ISP…. Just called them last night to do a “firmware” update. Will check to see if that’s the fix after work today. Otherwise the last thing I can do is switch my modem. Strange how so many people are suddenly experiencing this… 🧐

        • I have the same issue I’m on Xbox X. I can log in until my characters appear then the “contacting Destiny severs” pops up and kick me out of the game with the same error code. Strangely everything is normal on ps4 pro! Wonder why

        • I’ve been experiencing this for past couple weeks and I haven’t been able to play at all today Nat type is open , 450mgbs , Foward port open and UPnP is on , on the router , don’t know what else to do . I read a known issue is a lot of players on xbox are having crashes and contacting servers pop up while trying to queue for a game like crucible or bonfire bash
