I’m curious to know what everyone else thinks about trials currently. Leave your thoughts below

What I said when the "new" version of Trials dropped. That it was a step in the right direction, but didn't go far enough. So it sounds like the problems that have always plagued Trials (skill creep) are rearing their head again. The problem is that the entire design of Trials is about letting very good players exploit weaker players for fun-and-prizes....then expecting those weaker players to dutifully show up every week to get their teeth kicked in. The problem is that for most of Trials existence, Bungie drank their own Kool-aid (Trials is for the best of the best) and gave average players NOTHING but that kick in the teeth. So they stopped showing up to play....and the playlist quickly imploded from runaway skill creep. Plus cheating and other underhanded tactics to extract rewards from the playlist. With the latest overhaul, Bungie included a very weak form of SBMM....and a reward structure that does allow average players a chance to grind their way to rewards as long as they are willing to endure a less-humiliating form of getting curbstomped. By basically bribing these players, they are willing to hang in there until they get the rewards they want....then they leave again. Because they are still getting curb-stomped. ...and in my case, a new set of armor and two lackluster weapons (a sidearm and a fusion rifle) are just not worth the hassle of enduring a PvP experience that just isn't enjoyable. That's what Bungie either hasn't realized....or just won't accept. If you have to BRIBE people to play a PVP experience, you're not going to keep people IN that experience. Once they have the rewards, they are left with a play experience that isn't enjoyable. Isn't rewarding on its own...so they're goign to stop playing.
