Hi there.
The WEASEL error code is an all-encompassing error message that is usually an indicator that you are experiencing a general networking issue. However, this error can also show up if:
A. You are Cross Saved and tried logging into two different platforms at the same time
B. You were in an activity and a ban was placed on your account
C. Your clan has special characters in its information or you have invites from clans that need to be removed
You may want to review our WEASEL article on http://help.bungie.net for more information about this error code.
Below are suggestions that may help with your issue:
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi
2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming

7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps

Bungie you do know that a vast amount of people are getting these errors after your last maintenance. Just check your help forum. Its the same thing all the way down the forum. Its not some network error on our end. I have opened my ports, reset my connection, deleted the game and reinstalled, and hard reset all my devices related to destiny. Yet still no improvement and constantly getting contacting destiny servers and getting a weasel error. All other games work properly except for destiny. All devices are connected to my network properly and have no issues. Its just destiny. This is day 3 of the same error. Sometimes it lets me log in but I cant get a match or even see other people in the tower or other activities. Then after a little bit of time I get contacting destiny servers and then get a weasel error. Please fix this, its clearly a issue on bungies end when many people are having the same issue and after testing multiple solutions it all points back to your servers. Please update the community asap. Thanks.

"A vast majority" are playing the game with no issues lol

Edited by Steady: 7/16/2022 1:05:05 AMsure but when a large amount of people are having the same issue on the help forum they should look into it instead of ignoring it. Its not just one or two people its a lot more, just skim through the pages and you will see the posts. Just because you don't get the errors doesn't mean everyone else is fine too.
-
There's like 30 to 40 posts about it...out of hundreds of thousands in game...

a large amount of the most recent posts in errors have been about this weasel issue. sure there are hundreds of thousands of posts over time but its still a issue that needs to be fixed and has been happening to people recently. I don't get why you are trying downplay this issue when people on here clearly are having it and need it fixed. As I said if you are not having a issue with the games good for you go play the game and let us that cant get help here on the forums from someone who can possibly do something about it.

Because it is pretty clear that it is you people's networks but you refuse to admit it. Have fun continuing to blame Bungie rather than fix your network I guess.

Yea bungie does maintenance and all of a sudden the people in this help forum started getting these errors. We hard reset our networks, opened ports, make sure NAT is open, uninstall and reinstall the game. Pretty much do all the steps necessary on our end yet its our network. Everything else besides destiny works, I am able to play like 10 different games with no problem and no connection issues at all. The game worked fine till the maintenance, yet its our network when none of us changed anything at all on our network from when the game was running properly to when it wasn't.

Yeah I’m in the same boat I hope it gets addressed soon.
