That was really the whole point of Forsaken , to knock us down a peg or 2
But now we are -blam!- unbeatable gods again , and a perfect character is boring(see Rey in the Star Wars Sequal Trilogy)
We need to screw up once In a while, like what if we got someone killed and was banned from the Tower for a season , so we had to go to an alternate social space like the Farm or Iron Temple, and had to do things to regain the Vanguards trust

It's similar to what Bungie [i]tried[/i] to do with the whole "Vanguard or Drifter" choice back in the day. They said it would be impactful in future Seasons but nothing really came out of it, unless they're [i]still[/i] holding off on that for Reasons. They want to give us the illusion of choice or outcome but aren't committed themselves on executing on the outcomes that could happen. Could you imagine how crazy different the game would be right now if we hadn't stopped The Almighty?
