The Jade Rabbit's "Fate of All Fools" exotic perk reads as follows: "Chain body shots to gain bonus damage on your next precision shot and return ammo to the magazine." Base damage is 39 for a body shot, and 68 for a crit in PvP, with a ramping damage buff of 7%, 14%, 21%, & 28% applied to the critical hit for 1,2,3, & 4 body shots before landing a crit, respectively.
The bug here is that the damage portion of the perk activates incredibly inconsistently despite returning ammo to the mag.
My friend (at 6 resilience) and I went into a private match and noticed that most of the time I would do 1 body + 1 crit with Jade Rabbit I would hit 68 (the base crit damage of the rifle) and very rarely would I hit 72 (the number it should always be after a body and then a crit).
The same pattern continues with higher counts of body shots before landing a critical shot. I would only get the damage buff from Fate of All Fools to activate very rarely (in this clip, not at all), but the ammo would always return as intended.
We tried shooting at different cadences, at different body parts, and while moving, but the perk remains inconsistent.
With 150s getting a buff soon and this gun being bugged like this since launch I feel like now would be a good time to address this issue.
Thanks, and let me know if there is any other info I can provide to help get this issue fixed!

AND the "return ammo to the magazine" portion of the Fate of All Fools perk would completely refill your magazine. Now it only partially reloads the magazine, making the gun worse for no reason.

3 RepliesIt's been bugged since launch? I thought PLance had it bad.

1 ReplyOk, but that doesn't change the fact that the exo perk is pretty bad for pve and pvp And Jade Rabbit itself is very good, so it's only going to get better than it already is
