I'm genuinely curious, and not trying to sound sarcastic at all, but I'd really like to know if Bungie even thinks of the repercussions to PvP when introducing new to the game.
Omnioculus + Lord of Wolves, Classy Restoration, Healing Grenades, the fact that Lorentz is FINALLY getting an actual nerf a year after its introduction. Even Mountaintop before it got sunset...
I just don't understand how they could release things into the game without considering the effect that they can have in PvP.

3 RepliesThey just announced they’re working on a new mobile game while the current one is in shambles. Does that answer your question? Dmg is trash and advocates for toxic meta in PvP because he’s bad at the game like most of their devs.

7 RepliesWho cares it's pvp

Edited by Interpol89: 7/2/2022 4:03:55 AMIt goes both ways. I would like to know why Bungie thinks it's ok to butcher my axion bolt build because people complained about it in pvp. The same can be said about Geomag boots. No one ever says " make sure to switch to chaos reach" for a damage phase.

They don't consider PvE when nerfing things PvP players cry about -
1 ReplyShort answer : no. Long answer : noooooo.

Here’s a question for you. Do you think Bungie actually gives any f*** about their game? Both PVP and PVE? I don’t think so!!!
-
Should be fairly obvious by now I would’ve thought

1 ReplySeasonal metas They're not actually trying to balance the game. Rather to rotate the new hot thing in and out. One of their pvp guys brought it up in a podcast a few years ago
-
2 RepliesThey have a hard choice and they choose to release things that make PVE more fun and better like Solar 3.0. Just like Stasis breaking PVP, they do it cause they know we'd love it in PVE. But the most recent TWAB shows they are making PVE and PVP sandboxes different so don't worry. Gjallarhorn will only be worse against Guardians.

5 RepliesBungie devs are incredibly bad at the game and barely play so I'm not sure what you expect. They were hiring game testers I didn't bother applying since I know they weren't going to hire someone who's good at the game and not a minority/ a part of the LGBTQ.

They just dont care about it simple as that

Master ChiefI just been ballin out every season - old
You think bungie knows what they’re doing? They are still having to adjust Last Word and it’s been in the game since 2014. -
Edited by Lord Ignatius: 7/2/2022 6:25:36 AMIts because of the community. When they actually realease something balanced everyone cries and complains, but when its powerful they complain and blame it for everything. The community is just too far gone and at this point Bungoe can't win and they know this. They could give the community literally everything they asked for and still somehow piss them off. Forsaken is a perfect example, steller dlc and everything we asked for coming out warmind and osiris but still wasn't good enough. Begged for a new subclass and effectively sunsetted it. The community is toxic and impossible to please you don't know what you want and is very easy to trick and exploit due to said toxicity.

It's because they want a weapon that will excite the players enough to either grind it or buy the season pass. Bungie has been doing this since Y2.

8 RepliesThey don’t play their own game. And if they do, THEY SUCK. Ever watched dmg play crucible? He’s a bot lmao. And that’s fine, he has an actual job and a family, as do the rest of the devs. But these means that their ability to think outside the box when it comes to effects to both pve and PvP is pretty much nonexistent. They’ll keep releasing broken abilities and weapons and such and then nerf them anywhere from 2-8 months later. Happened with 600 auto rifles, 120 hand cannons and stasis. Nothing will change until they actually have 2.0 players testing their new stuff.
-
no, they don't. as a matter of fact, they also don't care about what their players think
-
That's the thing about an ever shifting meta. They let things happen for awhile before making something else the new meta.
-
Developing is hard. They gave an excuse long ago. They are riding it to the hilt.

2 RepliesThey dont care. Sandbox updates and weapon nerfs take way to long
