TheShadowBungie is no more... - old
Nope, it needs a company that can handle the game. Adding more content hasn't really improved the experience playing Destiny, especially with the absurd amount of issues it has that majority of it will never be fixed, let alone looked into to at least attempt to improve. -
1 ReplyEscalation Protocol was the best mode they ever created, and then they removed it. 👍

1 ReplyEdited by GUARDIAN-IX: 6/29/2022 1:49:30 PMA Hoard Mode with a ranking system and bounties would be good; maybe include Altars of Sorrow, The Blind Well, and a third . I never played Escalation Protocol but it sounds like something I would definitely enjoy.

Bungie hears that and just thinks we want lots of monster thrown at us in waves. In their eyes it's been done. They did something close to this with the haunted forest but it scaled difficulty too quickly and pretty much forced failure after so many rounds. Didn't reward well enough based on how far you made it. Overall it just came up short for what could be a good core game mode. What players really seem to want when they ask for this is CoD zombies, or a gears of war type horde mode. Add some depth to it. Zombies does that well by adding a point system that you need to intelligently manage every run to buy upgrades and weapons, traps you can strategically use, ammo economy, the need to keep moving, buffs that change every attempt, buying and upgrading different weapons on the go, and very importantly you go until you fail or choose to leave. Every attempt is different and an adventure instead of just a grind.

They need to bring back POE, except make it unlimited , with enemies and bosses and modifiers getting tougher after each round , and the higher you go the better your rewards are -
Prison of Elders was as horde as it gets. Personally I found it so boring after the first few times. Not just cause I have played too much horde in Gears of War but cause it became so tedious.

2 RepliesEdited by Muffincup: 6/29/2022 6:02:09 AMThat's basically what the game already is. Every dungeon, raid, event, its all just flood the arena with tons of enemies on all sides, and in the new stuff, its now infinite enemies, though they do whittle off to just a few enemy models that constantly re-emerge. There is no real variety in Destiny 2, which is probably a good reason it wears so much on people. Add to that all enemies basically are all the same except they look different, all bosses are the same, with the same orbital stomp mechanic. The game is incredibly simplistic for how complex it seems, but really the most complex thing is the pointless puzzles between that really just make activities take longer than they need to. I personally hate puzzles in a shooter, but I know some people like them. Personally I'm just in it to build, shoot stuff, and use space magic, but we have the horde mode every day, playing through.

2 RepliesIsn't every seasonal activity or patrol event a horde mode?

Master ChiefI just been ballin out every season - old

C’mon, all these players using their mailbox as storage? IT ALREADY HAS A HOARD(er) MODE!
-
W8. Destiny PvE is horde mode anyway? Right?
-
How about fixing all the stuff that is not working before getting new wishes dropped?
-
1 ReplyI mean yes and no as a horde mode sounds fun on paper but the reality is that's what literally every seasonal activity has been how can we create a horde mode that is engaging for the player base with a grind attached to it what destiny needs is something entirely unique to itself modes or activities, something where the devs can flesh out their creativity.

Would require more vault space🤔
