Each time I boot up Destiny 2, it crashes immediately. I have tried everything. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleared the game cache, attempted a repair of all my drives and reinstall all of my drivers, allowed complete access through firewall, I tried to repair steam and verify files. NOTHING WORKS
If this is happening to you as well, please help. This just started today.

2 RepliesI had this happen to me as well. After some digging, it looks like it has something to do with the new NVIDIA GeForce driver (v516.40). Upon downgrading to the previous v512.95 (link below), I was able to run Destiny again without issue. https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/189682/en-us/

3 RepliesSimilar... Upon punching Enter to spin up Character screen, Destiny 2 hangs the entire machine. Alt F4 fails Alt Tab fails Ctrl-Alt-Del > TaskMgr fails Ctrl-Alt-Del > SignOut works, from which screen I can reboot machine. Verified files (as must always be done on an update), and cleared the download cache. Worked fine last night. And as I updated to NVIDIA 516.40 drivers last week, I conclude that today's update triggered the problem. Yeah, I've seen the idea of rolling back the NVIDIA drivers, but after looking into it I think I'll pass, perhaps go play another game. ---- Note: I'm struck by the inability to create a support ticket.
