Should there be a longer Invasion Cooldown for Gambit?

i found this to be quite a nuisance where you just killed an invader from the apposing team only to have another invade right after, makes me not really want to play gambit. even tho i prefer it over the crucible

  • Voted no. They've already increased how long it takes the portal to open, along with not being able to stack invasions. Any more nerfs and they might as well take invading out of the mode. Which I know some would like cause they don't like to pvp, but then it wouldn't be gambit anymore. Not only that, the same people would then complain about losing cause the other team melts their primeval. You know what prevents that: invading.

      Hot take: invaders should be eliminated altogether. Having two teams trying to complete the same activity faster is enough competition. There can be other methods of sabotage, like making it so motes continue to drop during your boss phase and banking them to reduce the opponents bank or adding health to the opposing boss. Keep the blocker drain as it is for non-boss sabotage. Invader spam & griefing is literally the only reason I stopped playing gambit.

      • A Gambit game mode with no invasions. Only dunking these particles for spamming adds and 20 particles for little bosses. The rest can be the same.

        No, there should be only one invasion per team per match, portal opens immediately and stays open until it is used, teams decide the best time to use their invasion, heavy should not be allowed while invading by either team, it's locked out until the invasion is over, if the invader gets a kill they get plus 3 seconds per kill to their invasion timer that can give them a total of 12 extra seconds, then it max's out allowing a good invader time to wipe the team and try to go for more.

        No, it's a helpless feeling watching your enemies primeval hp bar get close to zero and you are standing there with full Ghorn ammo waiting on the portal to open If anything when the primeval bar gets below 25% , the portal should stay open

      • I feel like your side should get some kind of reward if they kill the invader. Maybe the health of the Prime Evil doesn’t go back up if the invader gets killed? If invader gets kills and survives the invasion, then PE health does go back up? Not sure what it should be, just putting an idea out there.

      • No of course not. I love hearing "Invader on the Field" and thinking "Now where are the..." (You were killed will Gjallarhorn) Which by the way, a lot of "Y'all'r" wink wink pronouncing wrong, and have for years.

      • Limit to 3 invasions max at anytime during the match. Invaders that die during invasions drop heavy ammo for opposing team. Also invader gets booted to orbit.

        No, the current is perfectly fine despite my initial opposition. Invaders have already been nerfed into the ground only issue is skill gap. I don't know why they got rid of prime and collapse the 2. If casuals want baby mode then create a separate playlist for them so they can do what always do ,complain and find another excuse. Prime separated the skilled from casuals yet casuals came there so it was scrapped and now they want gambit to be crap even more.

        • Bungie almost a year ago. Invasions have a 30 second cooldown. But they really dont.
