Anyone know the best way to farm/ get upgrade modules? I’m low on shards and cores, so a direct farm would be great. If there isn’t one, farms for those 2 things. Thx!

1 ReplyGood ways to get upgrade modules apart from concentrated mattergem(eververse) and legend campaign and lost sectors, and of course the season ranks, I would say, are using finest matterweave for legendary shards, not the greatest way, but is mostly free(no bright dust needed) and renewable, finest matterweave drops randomly from gear and can just pop and forget until a shard drops then rinse and repeat until no matterweave is left to use. Can be used while doing other stuff like bounties and such, so it's multi tasking too I guess... Personally use this from time to time but I don't desperately need shards since I gave 13661 back when original strange coins became useless, and I just trade for glimmer if I need to, again, not desperate for glimmer all that often

If you have a lot of bright dust you can buy some concentrated mattergem at the store. These will drop upgrade modules in gambit or strikes. Will also drop at Castellum. Can also go to the moon and find those chests with the 3 rings near it. If you only shoot one ring (trial & error to find right one) it will spawn a yellow bar knight which you chop up with sword and it will drop a upgrade module if you have one mattergem loaded. Then its rinse and repeat until it stops. Then go find another chest and rinse repeat.

pretty sure a mod for your ghost can make one drop from pretty much any strike or if you win a crucible/gambit match depending on which mod is installed in the fourth mod slot for the ghost.

Campaign on legendary every chest has upgrade modules

1 ReplyA good farm for cores is by doing the legend/master lost sector. You will usually get 1 each run. Another way to get cores is by converting enhancement prisms into cores by masterworking armor to tier 8 and dismantling the armor. Idk if you have done the legendary witchqueen campaign or not but each encounter in those mission drops multiple upgrade modules on your first completion on that character.
