I wanted to checkout my ping in some Crucible matches as I suspected I was the one lagging and not the other team; anyway, loaded up resource monitor and noticed this odd address: "visit.keznews.com".
Visited the site, did some research and it's an overt spam site - clearly shouldn't be showing up as having network activity attached to Destiny 2.
It then dropped off for 5 mins while I was in orbit but reappeared as soon as I joined a Crucible match.
I've done a very deep cleaning procedure with 4 different malware/spyware/virus catchers and came up empty for anything nefarious.
So, anyone else got this too?
To replicate:
1. Win Key + R to open Run dialogue. Type resmon.exe
2. On the Network tab, select (tick box) destiny2.exe in the top box (Process with Network Activity)
3. The activity is shown in the box (Network Activity)

Just now tried to join crucible match and got disconnected with beaver. This address was in resource monitoring. It looks suspicious to me, yes. https://ibb.co/DLH9bBx

A quick internet search gives plenty of information on it. I wouldn't suggest running Destiny 2 within or on a virtual machine or through a virtualization process.
