The possible solution i found was on steam forums that helped fixed Errorcode: Marmot.
"I saw a few people say to try and delete everything in the Destiny 2 folder apart from packages file and then verify the files. Have you tried that?" - Valentine

A potential fix for "Errorcode: Marmot". My friend was having the same problem with his Destiny 2 on the PC. What we did is right click Destiny 2 in Steam> properties> Local files> Browse> delete all files except for "packages".
Once you've done that go to steam> right click Destiny 2> Properties> local files> Verify integrity of game files.
Once it downloads the missing files, open destiny 2 and the game will verify game content, and then he was able to play.

This fix for some reason doesn't work for me.
-
You're awesome. I have been unable to play on my pc since the update right before launch night of the DLC, and this is the only thing that has worked so far.
-
Done this multiple times and it doesn't work.
-
Thank you for providing these steps. I am forwarding this to our development team to figure out why keeping the "Packages" works. We will be sure to provide this additional step in our troubleshooting as well.

It works but few hours later of play you gotta do it again... this is getting beyond annoying... I have bought the expansion on xbox just to avoid this crap

That's great and all but what about the people who play on Xbox where's the fix for that cuz I haven't been able to play since November I've searched everywhere and it's all for PC
-
Hello. You may want to clear your console cache to see if that helps.
-
I got past the first cut scene of the witch Queen and then once I chose the difficulty error code marmot. PLEASE fix this I haven't been able to play since November I have purchased all the DLCs on both D1 and D2 up to which Queen and I don't see how this is still a problem considering that it is stopping players from playing the game
-
I'm sorry i can't help you ._
